Anyone interested?

Im planning on starting a weight loss regimen around the 18th of this month. Anyone interesting in Joining me as a way to keep motivated and on track?

My plan is to try this primal diet Carrie talks about(I just got the kindle version of the first book the other day) and to start the couch to 5k running program. I would like to lose 30-35 lbs. Hopefully by summer beginning or end.

I am hoping to maintain what I have lost by sticking to the primal diet. I'd like to tone up a little but I really hate exercise. I will probably just try to walk more as the weather improves. I would be happy to share recipes and meal ideas and cheer each other on.

*lurk!*

Carrie and Amanda...if you don't mind, I'm going to lurk the heck out of that thread. I'm a November Mama, but I'm getting back onto the paleo diet - the same thing as primal, but with no dairy. I'd love to share recipe/meal ideas!!!

Your welcome!

Do you all want to do a weekly weigh in? We don't have to reveal our weight just gain or loss. If not weekly then monthly?

Hilary - I had a 800+ calorie Marie calendars meal for lunch and thought "guess I will work on the weight loss tomorrow." LOL

I'll be following you guys and joining in when I am online more. I used myfitnesspal.com when I lost 65 lbs after ds and plan to use it again. I think I'll go update my account now. Smile

There are a few other sites that have free weight loss programs/trackers: sparkpeople.com and fitday.com

Sign me up! I've decided that since I can't do the Phase 1 of Atkins (because of BF) I can certainly do the next phase, where I can have 40-60 carbs a day and still lose weight, just not as quickly and not in ketosis. I'm hoping to get a treadmill with my tax return as well, as jogging with 4 kids is not possible lol!

So true! We have a treadmill and that's where I'll do my running. Plus we have monster hills in my neighborhood it would kill me to try to run those. Lol

Amanda, I have the same user name too. Although so far I've found no time to log my food, ugh!

I'm down! I won't be doing any specific diet, but I can't wait to exercise again!!

I used sparkpeople.com when I lost my 65lbs so I may use that again. I dont really have that much to lose, but would like to start eating healthy & exercising again.

I started pregnancy at 126, but I was tiny so I'll be happy getting to 135. Right now I'm at about 144.

Btw girls, I did tons of jillian michaels when I lost before. 30 day shred is amazing & only about 25 mins a day. Ill be doing that again.

Lesley: how in the world did you weigh 65 lbs more? Way to go! Gives me motivation I can get to my goal weight.

Right now i weigh 170. I'd like to be under 140. It's been about 8 yrs since I've been that small. But 6 of those years I've been pregnant or nursing. Lol

This is exactly me. I was 135 when I got pg and 188 when I got home from the hospital (stupid IV fluids made me gain instead of lose). Now I am 170 and want to get back to 135 asap. I had just lost 65 lbs over the course of 2 years after having Deacon and gained 50 of it back with Kara. myfitnesspal and Zumba were my lifesavers!

If you looks on fb you can see pics of me overweight at my cousins wedding. I had given birth to violet not long before that. I had never really lost all the weight from phoenix so I got to 210 with violet. After her I was 186 for awhile until I couldn't take it anymore. I lost & got down to 126.

LOVE, LOVE Jillian Michaels - I have a few of her dvd workouts!

I cannot wait to get back into exercising. I still have some pain by my incision- I think it's the tubal area. So when I am all healed I am interested in joining you ladies!

I can't wait to get back on track as well. I've never been thin and I hate it lol! I have a very large build though, and I'm 5'7. When I went on atkins the first time I started out weighing 290 at a size 24 and got down to 220 at a size 14. You can see though that even still weighing 220 I was wearing a 14... I don't get how as I thought I would weigh a lot less being that size in pants, but again I'm just a large build and thankfully have always been weight proportionate... I don't get all of my weight in my butt or my thighs, it's just spread nicely all over lol! All of the websites say that my ideal weight should be anywhere from 140-160, and I think I would push for 160 at the minimum, considering at 220 I'm a size 14... I like having a little meat on my bones. At my doc appt I was 272, and I wanted to cry! So starting tomorrow (when I make my weekly trip to the store) I will be on track with my 40 carbs a day and jogging in my neighborhood until I can get my treadmill. I need you ladies to keep me accountalbe!! :brucelee:
