Bubble bubbles everywhere nor any sight of relief

Ok Ladies. Lately I have been experiencing problems with gas that make me so bloated and hurting.
What do you guys do to help relieve the "pressure" assoicated with gas?

I was having that problem for a little bit too. I hate it! It's like this giant gas bubble gets stuck in there and won't come out! Someone told me to try Gas-X but I haven't needed to try it yet and I'm not sure if it's on the safe list.

i get like this too... but more so toward the end of pregnancy. Walking really helps get your colon moving and moves the air along. Gently bouncing on a yoga ball can help as well.

Usually I just fart a lot...HAHA!! I mean, it's gotta come out one way or the other right? Really, though, I know exactly what you mean....I've had a lot of gas since being pregnant, and it gives me really bad pains, which is very unusual for me. I haven't taken anything for it though. If I'm out somewhere in public I just excuse myself to the restroom, and hope that it's not too loud.

Isn't it strange that everyone farts yet it's made to be this embarrassing thing? Like when babies do it, its cute, when kids do it, it's funny, and adults have to try not to do it.

Katie - your response cracked me up! Thanks for the honesty. Smile

I have had horrible gas pains too. Me and Dh don't "do that" in front of each other so I have been miserable. Lately I have just said that I can not be responsible for anything that happens because of pregnancy. lol I couldn't hold it in if I tried.

Some days it gets so bad that I can barely function from pain. I read that you need to stay regular. So I have been drinking benafiber regularly and its helping.

Gas -x... and eat more fiber too. I like the Metamucil clear and natural. You can add it to coffee or anything and it doesn't have grit or taste!

Lurker...

While it won't necessarily help with the pain, try taking a look at your diet, too. Certain foods could be a culprit.

I normally don't have and issue with gluten but since I got preggo this time I noticed that everytime I ate it, I was in horrid pain for DAYS and my tummy felt like a brick. I added lots mire fruit and cut all gluten products and I havent experienced the issues at all (except fir when I accidentally eat something with gluten and don't know it. Did you know Twizzlers have flour in them? Me either until I had a few and was in pain fir 4 days straight and read the ingredients). Lesson learned. Wink

My OB says simethicone (aka Gas-x) is okay but I would also look at your diet like the others said. I'm sure you can google a list of normal gas culprits and just try avoiding them for a few days or try to remember what you ate when it was the worst and avoid those for now. Hope it gets better soon!
