I have been having the painless contractions all day long. They are definitely more frequent than 4 per hour (I counted 7 and 8 in two different hours) which is what most people say is "normal". For the most part as long as I am sitting they aren't nearly as bad but I can feel some of them. As soon as I stand up to do anything they intensify. I've had a couple of the RN's at work feel my stomach when it's tightening and they agree that I'm definitely having contractions. My question is should I call the doctor and see what he suggests? I just don't want to feel like a bother if these are totally normal at this point but I also don't want to let it go and throw myself into labor on accident somehow. I guess I just don't want people to see me as over-reacting and being "one of those people" if that makes sense.
I hate feeling like a bother to my Dr. but honestly thats what they are there for and its better to be safe than sorry. They will probably just want you to come in and check you or something,ya know?
Sure, why not call!? It would be one thing if you drove in and tried to check-in, but it is worth a call!
FWIW, I felt like crap last night after eating some really spicy tacos. I was having intense stomach tightening and felt very light headed. I layed down for most of the night and when I finally went to sleep, I was up a lot through the night because my stomach felt hard, and tight and somewhat painful. I know they were contrax of some sort. By this morning though they have pretty well disappeared. If they hadn't, I would be calling too...
so did you call? what happened? how are your contractions now?

They have actually eased up now and I haven't had any for awhile. You know how when you talk about stuff it vanishes and makes you look crazy? LOL But I am going to continue to keep an eye on them and if I have a repeat of this tomorrow I will be calling.
