We are having some nasty weather here as well. Rain, rain, and more rain. It's rained almost every day for a few weeks. Which is why we have lots of flooding.

Today I had to work from 7a-7p. Can't you tell I am working real hard since I am sitting here typing this. LOL It's been a pretty good day in the world of working with substance abuse patients. My boss should be here shortly in which I will be handing them my pregnancy statement and my OB's letter stating that I am to work only 40 hours per week. They have been mandating people 8-16 hours of overtime every week and my body simply can't handle it right now so my doctor wrote me an excuse. Here's to hoping they will accept it!

Jessicah- I hope all goes well with your boss. I got one of those notes last time too, and plan on getting it this pregnancy tomorrow. There is no reason to push ourselves when we are growing a human life Smile GOOD LUCK!

Carolyn- It's pretty dark and dreary today too. It rained earlier but now just cloudy.

What's everyone doing for mother's day???? We are heading out of town to visit my parents this weekend. I am taking a 1/2 day from work Fri and leaving to help DH with his computer class online final, then we are hitting the road after naptime to head to my parent's house. Sat night my mom has free tickets to the local farm baseball team in their city and she gave me and DH the tickets and offered to watch Nicholas for us. Clif is SUPER excited about going (he loves sports). The game starts at 7 and although it will be a fun date night for us, I am thinking I will get tired super early (as usual) and also nauseous. I have been getting nauseous late at night recently (not the prenatal I figured out) and it's not been fun. Sunday we are going to a brunch at a golf resort/spa which is expensive ($25/pp) BUT sooooo yummy!!!! OMG I can't wait. They have chocolate covered strawberries, all of this yummy cheese (i'm going to have to be careful) and some kick butt crab dip that I plan on gobbling up. I am armed and ready with Zofran if need be.

The weather here in Las Vegas is in the 90's all this week! I would gladly trade some of you for some rain! We never get rain here! I hate that it's already this hot in early May, which generally means it's gonna be insane come July and August (not fun being prego in 120 degree heat!). I have to work on Mother's Day, so I guess I won't be doing much of anything else. I'm still trying to figure out a way to become a SAHM by the time baby #4 comes, as I'm having such a hard time right now juggling housework, three kids, and full time job... keep fingers crossed for me!

Subbed special-ed Pre-K today. Glad that I don't have my heightened sense of smell kicking in yet-- their automatic air freshener wasn't working today. Biggrin

Mother's Day is nothing much special. I've got to go down to Houston for a few days for something, and DH has to go up to OK the same weekend for something else. On the plus side, I've got the handyman special for Mother's Day gifts... we recently moved to a new house where the toilet off the master bath just wasn't cutting it. So DH went ahead and replaced it this past weekend with something far superior. Biggrin Practical, and much appreciated!

We had a little rain the other day, which was cool. Now we're just breezy and sunny. Nice!

It's been nice here today in swfl, although a little humid for my liking. Amaya had her Mother's day program at preschool and it was adorable!! Afterwards all 3 of us took much needed naps! That's all for my day!

My birthdays on Mother's day so I'm looking forward to this weekend.

It's pretty hot here in SoCal, probably a lot like Vegas. The single digit humidity is really dehydrating me. My lips are white all the time. Normally I would love the beach on a day like this, but the sun is sucking the life out of me lately. I feel like if I go they will have to remove me like a harbor seal.

Just found out DS #1 is allergic to milk and Oak. Strange combo...he is not going to be happy when we cut milk from his diet. But hopefully he feels better.

DH is home from work with a sore ankle. But he just took the kids to get ice cream Smile A quiet house to myself, heavenly!

Mother's Day will probably be uneventful at our house. My husband has to work this weekend (12h sat, 12h sun), so it'll be just me and the little man - which is cool with me! We'll probably go to the park and play. I think my hubby, the little man and I will go to breakfast on Monday morning to celebrate Mother's Day. Works for me, it'll probably be a lot less hectic and crowded!

I'm two hours from home relaxing in a hotel after a long day of training for work. Today was freezing. I just want some sunshine and warm temps already! I just enjoyed a nice dinner with co-workers and my stomach is uber-bloated!

No major plans for Mother's Day. We will probably go to church with my parents and then maybe out for lunch. I am secretly wondering if DH will do anything special for me. I'm not officially a mother yet, but I am carrying his child, so that counts for something right?

We are going to go look at some houses on Saturday. Right now we live in a small, 2 bedroom ranch house that we rent. We like it but it is definitely going to be too small when the baby comes.

Krystal ~ please don't cry about 30. Life really starts to get good at 30. Promise!

jessica: good luck with your boss!! this is no time to be working overtime! my husband works in psych, so i can appreciate your line of work. What's with all the bath salts lately???? i work in trauma surgery and the last month or so it seems like all of our patient's were high on bath salts at the time of their accident! people are so dumb.

carrie: ohh i love house hunting!!! we rent, so i always get excited at the prospect of houses!

joy: poor DS! hopefully he grows out of it. will you all have to cut out dairy? it would probably be hard to not let him have it when the rest of the family is. poor little man.

racheal: thats awesome about your bday being on mother's day Biggrin

my husband is on call this weekend, and i am working Sunday night... so not the best set up for my first mother's day  im definitely a little disappointed. i would have liked french toast and freshly squeezed orange juice in bed!

my little man is getting ready for a his morning nap... YES!!!!! his morning naps have turned into wonderful 2 hour events, which means i get a lovely nap after being up all night. its great Biggrin im gunna be a pretty cranky mamma when he gives up his naps! im not working again till sunday night so i can catch up on sleep these next few days. my sisters bridal shower is saturday, SO EXCITED!!!!

Carolyn: the bath salts are a HUGE epidemic here. I'd say more than half our patients who came in were psychotic due to the bath salts. It's so scary. And these things are LEGAL!!!! It takes these people days to come out of their psychotic episodes. I mean cocaine, crack, anything is actually safer than these bath salts.

I am not sure what we are doing for Mother's Day. My hubby and I celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary tomorrow (Friday) but I have to work 12 hours so we are going out Saturday for that. He says he gets screwed because my b-day is Feb 19th so 5 days after Valentines Day and then our anniversary is always close to Mothers Day so I get double presents....lol

bath salts? What are they doing with them??

Mothers day will be me and the kids. DH goes to work tomorrow for 3 days. Sad

We got a new computer today !! We decided that our laptop is going kaputs and we have been using it with the TV in the living room for the kids to play pbs games. But it was having a hard time keeping up with the programs the internet wireless was bogging down or something. So we got a mac mini. Its hiding in the tv cabinet hookup HDMI and we've been playing around with it. Never had an apple before so its really different.

I turned 30 at the end of March..I was sooooo pissy, I refused to celebrate and got all huffy whenever anyone mentioned my birthday! I had to work on my birthday and I didn't even care. I still haven't gotten used to the idea of being in my 30's! Sad
