Crazy Movements

I have decided my son is a gymnast or something. I mean last night and this morning he has been all over the place!! I can feel him kicking, hitting on three sides at once. It's like he creates this wave of movement when he is going as my whole entire stomach shakes. My DH was watching him last night and said "I can't believe he is moving like that!" I swear sometimes I think there are two in there. How can he possibly be moving that quickly!?! I felt the jabs and such from Brynna but this is so much different. I should film this oddity so I can remember it when he gets older.

And doesn't it feel really weird too? I get those movements and I just wish I had a little window to see what she is doing in there.

Sometimes they hurt! And sometimes, it feels like she is crashed out so hard, that she is actually weighing me down. The dead weight actually hurts!

It's the hiccups that are freaking me out!

Yes, it feels beyond strange!! It's like someone gave my child speed and he is doing laps around my uterus. And the jabs are so fast. He will hit/kick about 6 times as fast as he can!

I agree, it's so strange!!! Sometimes I feel like she is basically flailing around all four limbs at once. I don't understand what she is doing in there. It has gotten crazier since she went head down too!!

I think Ryan has moved head down at well. I am pretty sure his feet are up towards my ribs. He was transverse for a long time and I was getting worried.

How can you tell if the baby is head down or not? I try to feel around to see if I can make out a head or foot for something, but I can't figure out what's what. Maybe because I have an anterior placenta? I know yesterday it seemed like she was kicking me in my va jay jay all day long, but then again, maybe she was bouncing her head off my cervix. I have no idea!!

Yes, it is so freaky! I told my DH that this is my most active one yet. She may be a wild child, ha ha! I have no idea what she is doing in there. Lately I have felt little hard knots- which I guess are feet and hands and maybe a butt sticking out at odd places, which is pretty cool. But even still, sometimes I look down and it is shocking to me that there is an alive human being in there. It is so weird.

I think my baby is head down too... mostly because I feel all the big kicks and movements high above my belly button, and anything below that is more like little butterflies or tickles.

This is totally me. I feel a hard lump in one place that I assume is her butt or back, I can't tell which. But her kicks are either like you said - at my cervix or my bladder and sometimes they are high. I have no idea how she is. Maybe I am carrying Elastigirl from the Incredibles.

Mine's a disco dancer. Both ultrasounds prove it!

I *think* he is head down because I am pretty sure it's his butt that pushes out at my belly button. Especially when he stretches he sticks his little butt out and I get this lump around my belly button. Definitely not a hand or foot. If he was head up then I don't think his butt would be at my belly button. I think it would be lower than that. I have no real way of knowing. Just me guessing...lol I can't tell the difference between a jab with the foot or hand.

I only know because my midwife felt around yesterday and told me she is head down Smile I suspected it though, because I feel liitle hard things pushing around above my belly button and sometimes kicking out to the side. That was pretty clearly feet. Then, usually on my right side, I can feel a longer, harder bump that is her back. Sometimes she pushes it and her bum out really far which is weird, lol. I have a posterior placenta though, which makes it easier for me to tell!

I'm getting pulverized from the inside out! My ribs are already sore and the skin around it is numb. I don't know how I'm going to make it another 10 weeks!

This is me! After reading this post yesterday I was trying to feel around to see if I could figure it out & it was the hard lump on the right side that was throwing me off. It has been there for a good while.

I know it is early....when are they supposed to get into place?

I am 25wks, but it feels like she has been in this position for awhile. Could that be?

The movements are definitely funny at this point. I think my favorite though (which Trystan has been doing for the past few days) is when he pushes up on the right top of my belly (I think it's his butt!) and moves it around! It's like this little hump that comes up, moves around for a few seconds, then dissapears back down again!

Carrie, I don't think you can tell if they're head down or not at this point. Plus, they can still move and twist all the way to 37 weeks, so we still have a ways to go where they can swim in all directions in there!

I just have to say I agree with nearly everything here.

My little girl moves all the time. I can't tell what's what. It sometimes bothers me a little at night when I'm trying to sleep. I call it her nightly acrobatics.
