crib

Looking for a low crib (I am 5'4") with fixed sides. Anyone know of one? Hopefully one that does not cost $500

Ikea's cribs are relatively low with fixed sides and cheap. The Gulliver, which is available now, is 32.5" in height and $99. We're not buying cribs for a while but we'll probably get Ikea's $69 Somnats if they're available in a few months.

I looked at those on Friday. They are in the running. I like that I can get them through the doorway, too!

I'm also 5'4". I got this one: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3535411

It seems like it will work just fine, especially with the mattress on the top setting.

Have you checked your local baby thrift store? At the ones near me, there are dozens of cribs that look brand-new in all sorts of colors, sizes, and styles, for half/a third of what the retail cost is. All you have to worry about is buying a new mattress. Smile

I like the one you picked. I am in the same boat with being on the shorter side. But we just use the drop side we have and leave the side down - GASP - hope no one calls CPS on us Wink

Second for Ikea. I have never had one of thier cribs, but I know people who do, and they really like them.
