Anyone taking a DHA or fish oil supplement? What kind? Where did you get it?
I took Expecta Lipil DHA supplement with Nicholas 2nd tri through bfing...I need to pick up some for this baby. My mom ate a lot of fish when she was pg with me and my brother and we both turned out pretty smart so I figure taking the supplements can't hurt.
my prenatal... the gummy ones from target, have DHA as well. i dont know how much though! i really like tuna and salmon
Baby #3 due July 6 2013
My prenatals also have both DHA and fish oil in them. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to take fish oil capsules as well as your prenatal just for the extra "oomph", but check with your doc first!

My doc prescribed a prenatal with DHA in them - NeevoDHA I think they are called. They are rather huge, like horse pills, but I don't really have a problem taking them.

My pg.org journal
My family doctor (who just had a baby herself) recommended the One A Day prenatals because they come with a separate DHA supplement. I found a generic store version at CVS. It's a 30 day supply. The vitamin and the DHA supplement come in two separate bottles and they are packaged together in a box. I haven't had any problems with them so far.
I was vomiting like crazy with the One A Days but found that the Nature Made ones are nearly identical in the amounts of each vitamin. Instead of two pills, the fish oil is in with the rest of it in one GIANT pill.
