Do i need to go to L&D?

Hey, im usually a lurker but Im 35 weeks and posted on the Jan board but am looking for an answer anywhere since Im nervous. I woke up this morning at 5am with period type cramps and went the bathroom and Im bleeding. Its pink and nothing heavy but its heavy enough to get onto my underwear and drip into the toilet while going. Do I need to go straight in or wait to see if it gets heavier?

Call you ob / mw first and see what they say. I'd imagine they would say to go get checked. If they don't, but you are still uncomfortable / feel like you should go in, then go. IMO, it's better to go in and have it be nothing, then to wait to see what happens and be nervous and worried all day.

It's good that you called. I had unexplained bleeding at 32 weeks. They ran all kinds of tests and couldn't find anything wrong, but at least it put my mind at ease. I would have gone crazy not knowing.

I definitely would have called or just went to L&D. Blood always scares me because you never know what's causing it. Hope you're able to get some answers soon.

The same thing happened to me around 34.5 weeks but without any pain or cramps. It was so scary. The OB on call will let you know what to do but just in case get a bag together because they might want to check you out at L&D to make sure baby boy is doing ok.

Just FYI: Jamie had Cash last night. They wound up taking him via c-section. He is doing really well but can't be with her until they make sure there is no infection, which will be tomorrow. Standard procedure. He was 5lbs 10oz, 18.5" and oh so adorable! She's sore which is expected. It was a long road but he's finally here
