Feeling like Eeyore today..

So no one bother to sew my tail back on... Wink

I failed my GTT. Well actually I only failed 2 of the 4 blood draws. I passed the first one, failed the second by 8 points the third by 2 points and passed the last. But it's still considered a failure so I'm switching my diet to something more serious. I was trying to eat well anyway but I'll be cutting out some things.

I feel really sad about failing, I think because I was overweight when I got pregnant and I feel like my husbands family is going to judge me and if Connor is born a 13lb baby then it'll be all my fault lol. I'll be fine tomorrow I think today I'm going to allow myself to wallow in my self pity.

I'm sorry you failed your test! Was that the 3 hour one? My friend failed hers too, but she was able to keep things on track with some minor changes to diet and exercise, and she had a perfect little baby that weighed 7 lbs and 2 oz, and she was a week and a half overdue! Hopefully you can also manage this really easily. Wishing the best for you! You can definitely have a bad day, but pick yourself up tomorrow and think positively! I truly believe in mind over matter!

The good news is you don't have to tell your ILs that you failed it Smile Just make subtle changes and no one will probably even notice.

Sorry you failed though, I would be feeling the same way at first too.

I'm so sorry you failed part of the GTT Sad Are you going to have to monitor your blood sugar everyday now? I agree with others, no one needs to know that you failed but you and your doctor (and probably DH so he can help).

I'm sorry you failed Sad At least you didn't fail by much. I think that makes a difference. I failed two of the three draws. The first by 6 and the second one by 4. I honestly made some minor adjustments like cutting out most of my soda's and cutting back on my carbs. Brynna was a healthy 7 lbs 5 ozs and she had no complications.

As Jenn said the good news is that you don't have to tell anyone. Even non-pregnant people get diabetes so there is no reason for someone to judge you. I am sure you'll do what you need to do to take care of yourself and Connor.

So sorry you're feeling down to day. Allow yourself some time to wallow, but don't beat yourself up for too long. It's never too late to set things on the right path. I think it's awesome that you are prepared to make some changes. And hopefully, your in-laws will go easy on you.

I'm so sorry you failed your test... I would be upset too. Don't worry about it though, lots of women (overweight or not) fail that stupid test. I'm sure you'll do fine with some minor changes in your diet!

Aww, I'm sorry you failed! That sucks and take however much time you want to be upset about it. I would be too, but I'd probably be more upset that DH blabbed the news, haha! it sounds like since you were so close, you can get by with a few minor changes and have happy healthy baby! sorry girl! Honestly I was super stressed when I thought I had it, Doc said ANYONE can get it! My super skinny-never-ever-overeats friend has it! So it's not weight at all!
I'm sure just a few adjustments and you'll be golden!
