So we were scheduled to have our follow up ultrasound yesterday to check on baby's possibly short nasal bone. It got moved to today at 12:30, and I was worried that would mean our results would be delayed since it's a holiday weekend here.
Well, we got the results today anyway! Baby is perfect and healthy!!!!!! "No anatomical anomalies" was the final verdict, and nasal bone measurements are perfectly normal and right on track - NOT SHORT!!
We arrived at our appointment early and it's a good thing, because the tech brought us in about 15 minutes early and we ended up getting a session almost as long as our full diagnostic session three weeks ago! She started by saying "I reviewed your previous images, and to be perfectly honest, the nasal bone doesn't look short at all to me. But we will get in there today and get good measurements so we can be sure! And they didn't ask for any additional images, but I am going to go ahead and take new images of baby, your placenta and the cord, and your cervix anyway!"
WOW! so we basically got a full repeat u/s. We saw everything, and this tech must be better because the images are way clearer. My favourite part was watching the baby suck in amniotic fluid then smack it's lips after!!! We got great profile pictures with it's hand waving by it's face I didn't expect pictures, but they gave us six and didn't even make us pay for them. Yay!!
I am so relieved...I can relax and enjoy now! Thanks again for all your support
