Hey girls, so yesterday morning I went for my stupid 2 hour GD test. I arrived at the Quest at 9:40AM (thank God my mom took DD for me!) and sat for an 45 minutes just waiting for them to call my name (when you arrive, you sign in, sit down, and wait for them to call you up so that you can give them your paperwork as to why you're there)!! Now keep in mind this is a fasting/no drinking test as you all know, so by 10:40AM I'm dying of thirst! So fifteen more minutes go by before they call me back to draw the first batch of blood (5 vials!) and make me drink the orange stuff (didn't it used to be carbonated?). So then the two hour wait begins, with them drawing another vial after one hour then the last vial (out of the same arm!) after the second hour. Ugghh it was horrible. I'm a huge baby when it comes to needles, I even told the guy I'd much rather go next door to the hospital and give birth than sit there and let him poke my arm lol (which my right arm is all bruised because the drew blood twice from there, so it looks like I'm some sort of pregnant drug addict!). So after my three hours in blood donation hell, I meet my mom and DD for lunch. By the time we're done it's pouring rain, so I scoop up DD so she won't fall and as I'm carrying her to my car I slip on the "slip and slide" sidewalk! I clutch onto DD so she won't get hurt and I take the brunt of the fall, putting all my weight on my left hand and knee and cradling DD with my right arm. So now my left knee feels like it's been hit with a baseball bat... no swelling or anything, I'm just glad that I didn't fall on my stomach. The whole day was total crap...![]()

Boo!! So glad you and Liberty are okay though. How scary that must have been to fall like that. I am not looking forward to repeating my stupid GD test and I am not looking foward to getting the Rhogam shot that day either. As if the test isn't bad enough they want to stick a needle that appears to be 2 feet long into my butt.
Oh Krystal, I am so sorry about your horrible day. Hopefully all that is over & done with.
It's so good that nobody got seriously injured & that you, baby & liberty are all okay.

Oh I feel your pain. I had my 3 hour test on Tuesday. They took blood from almost the same spot on the back of my left hand, my left wrist and my right hand. They couldn't get a vein in my arm. Then they talked to each other about how they won't be able to find my veins for an IV when I deliver...
I'm glad you guys are ok, and I hope you pass so you don't have to worry about it.
Sorry you had a bad day!!! Glad you we not hurt worse from the fall.

I can't BELIEVE they made a pregnant lady who is fasting wait that long to check in! Enfuriating! And then to just poke you to death. You prob lost your balance from all the blood they took. Glad you are all ok! Hope you are having a better rest of the week. I was supposed to go in for my test today, but I don't think that is happening. I'm shooting for Monday.
