Grrr registry frustration...

Grrr registry frustration...

So I went and registered last month at Babies R Us, mostly for myself so that I could see what I needed and have a list for myself. I'm still not sure if I'm going to do a shower (my mom would throw it for me if I chose to have one!), so I have been buying things for myself here and there every week off of the registry to prepare. I've probably bought eight or nine things off of it in the past two months, and I got on their website to check on the registry and to update it, and it's only showing that three things have been purchased... one of which I haven't actually bought! I'm super annoyed because I'm the only one that knows about the registry (besides you guys lol), so of course I'm the only one buying things off of it, so how can the other six things that I have bought still show as "not received yet" and the moniter that I didn't purchase yet shows as "already received?" I called them right away and of course the teenager that answers can't help me out at all. She doesn't listen to anything that I'm saying and suggests that people who are buying my gifts just must not be scanning my registry when they check out. I'M THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNOWS ABOUT MY REGISTRY!!! I'M THE ONLY ONE BUYING STUFF OFF OF IT AND I ABSOLUTELY KNOW THAT I GIVE THEM MY REGISTRY AT CHECKOUT!! *deep breath* lol... Thanks for letting me vent...

Oh that is annoying! Especially since you were using it for the express purpose of keeping track of your own purchases!

Have you tried updating it online? When I log into my registry I can change the "want" and "need" boxes and press update and it will change it. I am going through mine and updating to what I have bought myself at consignment sales.

I cannot even find my Target registry....it totally disappeared! Sigh! I feel your pain!!!!

I heard Target is having technical difficulties with their website--they were switching over to something new and it didn't go over smoothly. My neighbor was trying to track her Target.com order and it wasn't showing up, even though it was there when she checked it before. She went to the Target facebook page and saw it was full of complaints from people who were having showers/weddings soon and nobody could access their registries. Hopefully the missing registries are only temporary and they will have them back up soon!

I've tried doing that but I think my only option is to just delete the items that I already have, unfortunately. They said that I could come in and have the already purchased items moved to the purchased items area, but I don't want to have to drag my kids down there and fight with them while someone tries to do this for me.

Yea, I think the managers are teenagers too lol! I swear I've never seen an actual adult in uniform there!

I went and check my babies r us registry last night and only 1 item out of the 7 I started to add was actually what I chose! So deleted and started over- so hopefully the things I picked stay on this time. Finally added more stuff now that I know baby is a girl.

I had registry drama like this with DS as well. I was constantly going in after my showers and deleting what had been bought so I didn't get even more duplicates. Although, the issue with that was when I went to return the duplicates I had removed them so it didn't show I registered for them at all - so they didn't want to return it without a reciept. UGH!

This time I registered in Amazon and I can go in and manually adjust the WANT/RECEIVED columns myself. Since I am the only one buying off my registry I know what I have and haven't bought.
