HUGE one day, small the next

I have this fluctuating belly, that I didn't have with my first pregnancy. One day I will be HUGE. So much so that I can barely bend over, waddle everywhere and my back aches. Then, the next day, the belly is smaller again, where it should be, and I feel lots better. I'm sure it is all water retention, which varies daily. Anyone else have a fluctuating belly?

Mine seems to be a bit smaller in the mornings when I first wake up. Then once I get food in my stomach it pops out to it's gigantic size. LOL

Mine is much bigger at the end of the day. I'm definitely having a fat day today. My belly just feels huge! I don't like how it feels. This is the hardest part of pregnancy for me. I can handle the sickness but I really hate feeling big bloated and fat. Then you add nausea on top and you feel so miserable.

I was just telling my friend about this. Yesterday I was really big and my stomach was rock hard and today I'm much smaller and not hard at all. I think it has to do with my intestines (tmi). I am definitely much more comfortable today than I was yesterday, that's for sure!

Meeeee toooooo!

It's not constipation as my metamucil is keeping things regulated. I have to assume it is water retention!

I'm small in the morning, big by the afternoon. It's probably a food baby mostly but some of it's real....I promise Smile

Mine doesn't seem to fluctuate in size, but I can totally relate to those of you that are feeling bloated and uncomfortable. One thing I have found that helps is my Bella Bands. I bought some last weekend and I don't really need them yet because I can still button my pants, but I decided to wear one the other day and I noticed that it just made my belly feel better. I stretched it so that it completely covers my belly and I don't know if it's just offering support or what, but it seems to help.

Mine fluctuates too! Mostly through out the day tho. Its almost flat every morning but by the time I go to bed its huge, stretched, and tight. I thought it was bloat at first but now I wonder if the baby just pushes out and down as the day goes on. Is that possible?

I agree. Bella bands help a lot, though I can't comfortably wear most of my pre-preg pants.

Last week I was definitoey feeling fat and gross, this week I have popped out a little more and I feel better. People are staring at the bump now so I think strangers know now.

I have this problem but it is usually gas built up at the end of the day which swells my tummy and makes me look so pregnant more than i should at this stage.

I totally agree! I bought one as I just wear my pre-pregnancy jeans throughout my pregnancy. My only problem is they tend to make me super hot... I hate the feeling that I'm wearing two or three shirts lol!
