I bought maternity clothes!! Haha. My mum took me on a big shopping spree at Thyme Maternity. I got three pairs of pants (work slacks, jeans, and one pair that can be dressed up or down) two tshirts, and two dressier shirts. It was a lot of money (they really are expensive there!) but they say it will all stretch to accommodate me right up to the end. And I know it's just constant bloating right now, but I feel SO much better. The clothes are so much more comfortable, they don't cut into my waist, and best of all...they are cut so I actually LOOK pregnant. I broke down the other night trying to dress up for a night out and I looked fat in everything I owned . These clothes make it more obvious that I'm pregnant...even though it's not all baby yet but I am glad I told everyone at work on Thursday, because I can't hide it anymore, that's for sure! I will post pics later tonight or tomorrow!
Anyone else make the jump yet?
I haven't bought anything yet. I am being really optimistic that I might not have to buy much in the way of maternity clothes. A lot of my friends and co-workers told me that they didn't have to, but I guess we will see. I know there are a few maternity consignment shops in my area, so I will probably check those out when I start to get bigger. Definitely post some pics though. I would love to see what you got!
I have boughten 3 shirts. I have a bunch from my last pregnancy in a bin in storage, but I can't help but look at the clearance racks when I'm out shopping. One, for fall, was $8, one that could be dressier or just as casual with jeans was $6, and I got a tshirt the other day at Target for...$2.48!! I haven't started wearing any maternity yet, but hopefully in a few weeks! My jeans are tight, I am sitting here with them unbuttoned.
Your clothes sound really nice Hilary! I can't wait to see the pics.
I broke out maternity this weekend....and I'm only 7 weeks! EEEK! I can still fit in my regular jeans, they just make me look fatter than I really am LOL. I'll probably start wearing mat pants for sure. Maybe hold off on the shirts.
I saved everything from Nicholas. I also got some free stuff from a friend who had her tubes tied. My SIL today offered some clothes to me too so I am excited to get those.
I kinda can't wait for the socially-acceptable elastic pants. I'm still wearing jeans, but they're really getting uncomfortable in the waist. I'm at 9.5 weeks, now down nearly 10 lbs, but definitely changing shape.
It's all flab and bloating over here but I have been wearing my Old Navy skirts that are glued to me through my pregnancies. I love these things because I wear them not pregnant too. http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/produc...scid=809741002 Shirts not so much yet but I am just wearing whatever is comfortable.
oh those skirts look awesome!! i love them! i bought maternity shorts and capris from old navy. they have the full panel which i really HATE all of a sudden. i dont want anything on my belly. makes me feel sicker. i still fit in my regular stuff though.
triplespiral: have you been pretty sick? im down 6 pounds and i feel positively AWFUL. ugh.
Baby #3 due July 6 2013
I agree maternity is way more comfy! I am able to still wear some of my pants and all of my regular shirts but i have the maternity wardrobe all ready for when i need to wear them. I do wear the mat jeans most often when i leave the house. Otherwise its loungy pants and tees.

Yep, I just told my husband yesterday as I tried to squeeze into a pair of capris that it is time to dig out the maternity clothes from the garage. Happy and sad at the same time! I need a few new things too, as my season is different this time around, but I need to remember what I have before I go out making purchases. I def need new nursing bras!
