I'm Nesting! (XP)

So...ever since finding out baby is a GIRL, I have been nesting like crazy!

-The nursery is painted
-We are registered
-The crib is in the room along with the dresser (need to raise the crib mattress still)
-The closet in the nursery is as clean as it is going to get as far as making room for Emily's things
-All of the baby items are in the nursery
-Inventory of our baby bottles and breast pump accessories are taken and I have them downstairs in the kitchen ready for sterilization sometime when I past week 30.
-The walls in the entire house have been "magic erased" from all the scuff marks
-The windows in the kitchen are finally clean...all of the milk splatters from Nicholas have been cleaned off!
-I have been through 1/2 of the clothes I have gotten from others as hand me downs for Emily.
-Nicholas' big boy bed is set up and he has been sleeping in it for over a week now.
-I have priced and tagged all of Nicholas' resellable clothing to enter into a consignment sale this week.

Anyone else nesting yet?

 You are doing great!

We have big stuff to do. This weekend we enclosed our dining room to add another room to our house. The wall went up and the french doors but we still need to finish that and get it painted.

Then we will move the stuff in the front room to the new room. The nursery and the front room have to be emptied out soon because we are having new carpet installed in a week or two (need to order that today). Then we will be moving DS to the front room and the new LO to the current nursery. Once everything is out of those rooms and we put it back in I think it will be much easier to go through stuff and only put stuff in the rooms we use. Right now in DS' room (the nursery) I have lots of stuff I need to box up for the attic or a garage sale.

This weekend I cleaned out our bathroom cabinets and our medicine cabinet and threw away 2 large trash bags of expired meds and stuff we no longer need or use.

Before LO gets here we are having the carpet and couch steamed cleaned - so I need to get pricing for that.

After my showers I will see what I have left to get - which I mainly think I'll need to buy pump replacement parts and BFing stuff like lanolin and nursing pads.

Oh, you already know I am! But I think you are doing even better than me! I think we are skipping the painting, since we are going to put the house up soon. But I do need to get a curtain ordered for the room, would like to do more clothes shopping, finish xmas shopping, clean the carpets, declutter house more etc. I will also have to stearilize everything at some point too, but I think the baby specific stuff is looking good... just need to get everything else in order.

I wish I had time for that! I have been doing yard work, drawers cabinets and just trying to get stuff out of my house...goodwill loves me! I watch my two nephews 4X a week from 8-5 they are 10months and 2 yrs old. Plus my kids, and my injured husband. Also shopping and cleaning....there is no time left.

Ditto!
In fact, DH just did it today. I guess I outlasted him and he could't take it any longer Lol

I am...but I haven't been able to do much about it other than buy little things. I want to do the fun stuff like get the big items and set them up, but I need to clean out the old room and sell stuff. I don't want to do the dirty work, basically Blum 3 I will get around to it soon though...DH is getting a little "nesty" too so that will help!

Haha I am getting all of this big ticket item stuff done but the regular chores like cleaning the bathroom and vacuuming are taking a backseat. They just aren't my priority right now!

Ha - you should see the backseat of my car - YUCK! Having a toddler eat in the car makes for a nasty floorboard. I swore I've never be "that mom" but now I don't care. Its too hard to keep up with.

Oh wow I can just imagine if it is half as bad as our car. We moved DS car seat to my parents when they took him for a week and there was an orange color to the seat from all of the crushed goldfish everywhere LOL

hehe. I've been moving for the last 2 wks & this thread makes me feel LAZY!

I don't think I'll do much for kiddo. No nursery so nowhere really to put anything special. We will get the usual: swing, vibraty bouncy seat, stroller, etc, but idk....I just don't seem as excited this being my 3rd.

It's more like, "yep, here we go again." =/ that's normal, right?

I think so. As BTDT moms, we know what to expect. I think a lot of my excitement as a FTM was just imagining what it would be like with fairy dust glossing over the sleeplessness, sore boobs, etc. This time I know how hard it is going to be at the beginning so I am not *as* excited but I still want to meet baby girl! I am more excited about this being our LAST baby and feeling like our family is complete.

I have been doing a little bit now that we know what we're having!

-Sorted thru all of ds's outgrown clothes. Some went to goodwill, some to Once Upon a Child, and a bunch to a friend. Saved my favorites.

-Painted the nursery. Just have to finish around the edges today and then I can start getting that set up!

-Moved DS to his new room. Buying his bed in the next 2 wks so we can have the crib in the nursery.

-Started potty training DS

-Just keeping up on household chores now that I'm feeling great!
