Leapster Explorer

I had been looking into getting this for Brynna as one of her Santa gifts. Today a friend posted about it online and Amazon.com has it on sale for $35. That's half the original price!! Since it's such a great deal I made the plunge and went ahead and bought it. I got her the pink one which I know she will love. Well that's one present down and tons more to go....lol I thought I would share with you ladies just in case any of you with toddler aged kids were interested.

My girls have the leapster 2? I think that's what it's called. How is the explorer any different?

From the reviews I read people seemed to like the Leapster 2 better. Good job! lol

Btw, my girls love it.

I am glad to hear they like it. I wanted something educational for her that could help her while still letting her have the fun aspect of playing a video game. I've also been looking into the Tag systems so she can "read" the books by herself instead of her only being able to enjoy a book when I have time to sit down and read with her.

We have leapster 2s here and our boys love them. One of the 2 a speaker doesn't work anymore but you can plug headphones in and it works. But those things get dropped all the time and I am surprised the only thing broken is a speaker. Be sure to get some rechargeable AA batteries.

That sounds cute! I'm all done with my Christmas shopping, as I have to start in August or I won't have the time or money to get everything for everyone lol!

I like the K, 1st, and 2nd grade leap game pack. We have toy story 3, scooby doo, cars, pet pals, & sponge bob. Sponge bob is just alright. Scooby doo is kind of advanced in math but the boys still like it. Pet pals was a big hit. Cars is good too.
