Leaving tomorrow for Chicago!

I have a meeting for work and I leave tomorrow, be back Thursday. It's a non-stop 4-hour flight and I am a little nervous about it! Hopefully I can get an aisle seat and not be too uncomfortable. I'm also not looking forward to sleeping in hotels this week.

But, it's a big meeting w/the VPs and CEO of my company and I love this project I'm working on with them, so it's worth it.

I had my 32-week check up Friday and doc said I'm good to go. She gave me a copy of all my records *in case* But, I'm not high risk or anything and DS had to be induced at 41-weeks so I'm not too worried.

On a side note, I asked my doc again if it is 100% okay that my c-section is scheduled for 11/25, because even though they have my DD as 11/29, I KNOW it is closer to 12/5. I just am worried he'll have to be in the NICU potentially being born at 38.5 weeks. She said I have consistently been measuring on track at my appointments (friday I was 32-weeks, not 30) and they consider 38-weeks full term anyway. She eased my mind about it! I just want to do what's right for baby boy.

Have fun! I was just in Chicago last month for a work training. I had a hell of a time with my flights getting cancelled and such, but had a lot of fun once I finally go there. Have a safe trip!

I hope you have a non-eventful flight and a successful business trip.

Have a good trip!! I love hotels too Smile but I know what you mean about not being comfortable. I stayed in one in august amd even though it was a pain, I packed one of my wedge pillows and that helped!

Glad you are feeling better about your c-section. It sounds like it should be fine!

Wow! I am so done flying for work or pleasure. I will be thinking of you! Remember to get up and walk and stretch a couple times on the plane so you don't get blood clots.

Your doc sounds reassuring! Good luck with your meetings!

I'd take a stay in a hotel ANY DAY right now. It would actually mean I would be sleeping in late Smile

Carrie - you were there the same time as a few 100 of my coworkers. I think all the big stadiums were being used that weekend and every hotel was sold out. (We were one of the events in the baseball stadium)

Have fun! I wouldn't worry too much if your ob said you were okay.

I think that anytime after 37 weeks is considered full-term so you should be great w/ your c/s date. I think you can take heart that your ob has you & your baby's best interest in mind.

Can't wait to hear how Chicago went.

Hope you have a good trip! I would have done the same thing about asking about the c-section date...I'm glad your doc eased your mind about it.
