Low Back Pain

Anyone else experiencing this? My lower back hurts really badly. It feels almost like I slept wrong and it's this aching, sometimes piercing pain that shoots across my whole lower back. I've read this can be normal but it still sucks!

Yes! I have been having it too sporadically. So annoying!

I had them terribly with my DD. I am hoping she "stretched things out" so it won't be too bad this time! LOL!

Have you been to the doctor with this baby yet Jessicah? I've read that severe back pain could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. Obviously if you've been and she's given you the OK then that's not what it is, but if you haven't seen baby confirmed via US I would at least give your doc a call! Good luck!

It's not severe. It's just an aching for the most part and it sends a shooting pain if I bend the wrong way. It usually just starts hurting when I am on my feet for too long. Rest relaxes it and I am good to go. I saw the doctor and he said the pain was normal for pregnancy. I have my ultrasound on Monday the 9th.

Sad I had that really bad with DD. This time I feel alright with it. I hope it goes away!

I am experiencing horrible lower back pain as well. I looked it up and found that the hormonal changes that are accoring in our bodies right is the culprit. It is preparing your hips for child birth. I have always been able to easliy disconnect my hips since I was a child (ok - so I know that is a little weird) but now, they pop out on their own...Doing yoga really helps to stretch your back and realign it if it does go out. It also helps with stress levels too. Smile

ive had this off and on too! what really helps me is taking the time to sit on the floor and stretch to my toes. my hamstring gets very tight very fast, which definitely makes my back sore!

Thanks for the ideas ladies! I was starting to get worried that maybe something really was wrong. LOL Jbaum I read the same thing about the hormones. I sit in my chair at work and try to stretch the muscles which really seems to relieve the pain for a little bit. But it slowly creeps up on me again.
