Maternity Jacket

So I had the realization today that because my babies were/are/to be born in different seasons, I really don't have any cool weather maternity clothes! Thinking of that, and the maternity belt I need for back pain, I decided to look at Motherhood.com and see what they have. I found this maternity jacket on sale and with an extra 40% off, so I got a $65 jacket for $24! I ordered a long-sleeve shirt and a new bra too.

I liked some of their sleepwear, but the one I liked they didn't have my size. I love good sales though. I have a few pairs of jeans and two long-sleeve shirts, so it's time to grow my collection. Now to keep my eyes open for more deals. Have you ever shopped cosignment for maternity and had success?

I've looked but never had success. I've either borrowed maternity clothes or bought new stuff.

Cute jacket! I was pg with DS in the winter but its never cold enough here to really bother with a coat. As long as I have on a sweater that will be enough warmth - well, that and these raging hormones.

Love the jacket. My plan is to wear my current jacket and just leave it unbuttoned.

I have had semi-success shopping consignment for maternity clothes. The weekend consignment sales that are 2x year are the best IMO for finding some good steals. The regular consignment stores never really have anything that excites me.

I'm lucky that my SIL (same size!) gave me a huge bag of wintery maternity clothes including about 20 or so shirts. I didn't have any winter stuff as I had a summer baby last time so I lucked out and didn't have to buy anything. If I did have to buy, I would get a staple cardigan to use over the short sleeved stuff for the fall and then a few long sleeved things for the winter. I tend to be hot natured pregnant like Jenn.

Yea, the jacket will be of the most use in Nov and some of Dec when it will be really cold. I bet I will still be able to wear it post-pardum... that is the idea!

I love the concept of the cardigan sweater over short-sleeve shirts. I do run hot too so I will definitely look into that. I did buy a couple of open cardigans to wear this fall.

I got some really cute stuff at a consignment shop yesterday. They had wool pea coat there for $10 but I didn't get it!! I totally should have. Maybe I will stop by tomorrow to see if it's still there. My biggest problem right now is finding pants. I really need some maternity pants for work. I can't button my pants anymore and the belly bands are starting to annoy me. Unfortunately, I have been having trouble finding anything but jeans at the thrift and consignment shops. I have seen maternity clothes on eBay, sold in lots. I may go that route soon if I can't find anything else.

That's super cute Jules! I have a coat similar to that, it's black and a little longer. I figured I'll still rock it this winter, even if I only button it right under my boobs lol! I've been wanting to go to this store, as I need at least one new bra (the girls are up a full size!) and I want a nursing gown as well to wear in the hospital (I hate hospital gowns!).
