Merry Christmas to everyone!!! Both sets of parents are coming over today, one in the morning and one to stay the night through the 26th along with my brother too. I'm excited to have someone to entertain Nicholas besides me or DH so I can just focus on Emily for a bit and have a full house.
What are your plans? Are you having visitors?
I'm waiting to see if there are any Christmas babies....Lesley and Jenn you guys are up!!!!
Merry Christmas to You! Hope you have a wonderful time with your family. I will be visiting with my parents (my mom and step-dad), siblings, and nephews this evening. Tomorrow night we will be off to my grandparents' house for a get-together with my dad's side of the family. Then DH's mom and brother will be coming to stay for a few days. Everyone is so excited to see the baby, so it should be a lot of fun!
Merry christmas!!! Today we are going to my moms house which is less than a mile away. We will do Christmas with my family there. Tomorrow my ILs are all coming of and bringing the food and doing Christmas here. At some point tomorrow I'm going to go try pre-op labs for Tuesday. Although going into labor tomorrow would be fine with me too!!!
Merry Christmas everyone! Today we are going to my Papaw's house around 4:30 and then at 7:30 it's off to DH's grandma's house. We are trying to keep it simple this year since we don't want a whole lot of people around the baby and plus I am still super fatigued and trying to recover from the c-section. I hope you all enjoy your Christmas festivities
Merry Christmas ladies!! I'm working today, but I'm hoping to get off early (I'm supposed to be here until 3PM, but I'm wanting to sneak out around 1PM) as I have so much cooking to do! My family is coming over tomorrow, and my part of the dinner is the turkey, stuffing, gravy, rolls, and deserts (I'm baking no-bake cookies, dutch apple pie, and banana jam cake). Plus I still have to wrap all of the presents tonight! And all of this is going off of about 4-5 hours of sleep per night... but you ladies know EXACTLY what I'm talking about and how I feel lol! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and a joyous day tomorrow!

Hi ladies! Hope you don't mind me popping in to this thread. I'm starting to get a little nervous that I will be ending up with a little Christmas baby! I spent Tuesday at L&D getting IV fluids after being sick all night Monday into Tuesday. They checked me when I arrived and I was 2-3 cm, 70% effaced. I was having contractions every 5 minutes all morning and part of the afternoon. By the time I left that afternoon I was a little more than 3 cm, 80%, so though the contractions weren't super painful ones they were progressing things along a bit. The fluids did the trick and stopped everything temporarily, but I was still having trouble drinking. I thought that would go away but it has continued through today...no appetite and I am not drinking anywhere near enough water. I'm trying, but I just can't get it down despite the fact that I haven't felt "sick" since Tuesday AM.
We were REALLY hoping to make it past tomorrow morning because I just hate the thought of missing Christmas morning with my other kids (and DS is well aware of exactly how many days, hours, and minutes till Christmas, LOL, so there is no chance of fudging the date!). The longer this no appetite thing continues the more I worry that it is the start of something real or that I will get so dehydrated that the contractions start again. IDK. I just hope little guy can hang in there for 24 more hours!
Our Christmas plans as far as getting together with family have all pretty much been scrapped. I'm sure my parents will drop in at some point to do gifts, etc. but I am not getting myself off the couch to serve them food or anything like that. Haha. Well thanks for letting me share as I've been losing my mind during my self-induced bed rest! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your families, and those whose little ones have already arrived have a very special first Christmas!
Katie - Funny you say your son knows the time before Christmas. Our plan has been to make New Years weekend Christmas for our DS if I have a Christmas baby.
Krystal - you are doing a lot of cooking! I made cupcakes and cookies and a salad for today and it about killed me. I went to bed at 3 am and woke up at 6 am...WTH?! Instead of going back to sleep I got up and prepared for today and tomorrow. Its nice to have it all done but I assume I will be crashing soon.
Jenn, I think that could have worked with my daughter (she's about your son's age). I was wondering today if we still should have tried to tell a white lie or something, LOL. But then if we don't have the baby overnight/tomorrow, we messed up Christmas Eve and Christmas for no reason! Haha. I guess there is really no good solution but to wait and see what happens.
I am feeling sooo crampy and having a few more contractions. I am parked on the couch for the rest of the night!!!
Merry Christmas to everyone.
We have family over tonight, just ate supper and I am feeding Sophia in my room as its quieter lol 14 people is pretty noisy! my aunt came over and prepared most of the food and my mom did the rest at her place. tomorrow are headed to my inlaws-my first venture out of the house since I got home on tuesday. not as sore today, so hopefully tomorrow goes good.
