more disability problems

I'm starting to really hate my OB's office!

I have been off work since Wednesday with this sinus infection. I've had a low grade fever ever since and I have been in bed almost the entire time because I feel like crap!

My work has been super nice, my boss checks in everyday and they are handling my work load. But, they cannot pay me disability w/o an updated release that says full time.

So today I tried to call my doctor's office to get my disability updated from 1/2 time to full time because I have not been able to work this week and I only have 3 more days of work left until my c-section.

So after sitting on hold for 13-minutes, I try to explain to the receptionist what I needed. She kept interupting me and telling me to go to my primary care doctor and my OB can't help me  I kept trying to tell her, I know that, I've already been there but SHE needs to update my disability release because I cannot go back to work! UGH. Now I've been waiting for over an hour for a call back!

This makes me mad because my last two appointments I told my doctor I was having sinus pain and she never checked me out only kept saying that it was all a part of pregnancy. Now I have a full-blown sinus infection!!!!

sorry again for the vent...but I'm so sick of dealing with them.

Oh man, that sounds so annoying. Is there any way you can talk to the OB directly? Do you have an appointment soon? You'll be able to get back pay for disability I would imagine ... is that good enough?

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of this nonsense. I know it doesn't make things better now, but it will all be over very soon, and you won't have to deal with any "office" drama for a long time!

yes, very annoyed. My next appoint with her is my c-section
I am seeing another OB in her office on Wednesday, so maybe I can talk to him about it.

BTW, they haven't even called me back yet!

Thanks for your support, ladies.

Oh that's terrible! I'm sorry that you're having to deal with all that. I know their offices are busy but it's just common courtesy to call people back and most of the time (I hope this doesn't offend anyone) the receptionist have no idea what they are talking about. I hope you can get some answers quickly.

I finally heard back from the med assistant and she approved my disability for the rest of my pregnancy. I ended up going into work for a few hours today because I had loose ends to tie up. My work sent me off with a nice cash gift and card! It was sweet! I'm glad now I can rest and forget about work!
