Movements

Ryan is such an active baby. He does this thing I have called "The Superman" because I can literally feel him kick off one side of my belly and then I can feel him hit the other side. I was having DH watch him the other day and he got a good laugh out of it because you can see the kick and then on the other side you can see him bumping. It feels so strange! His movements are so rapid too. It's not just a poke here and there. He does a series of hits and kicks at a time, stops, and then repeats. I think he is practicing to be a boxer or something.

wow that must feel very weird!!!!! I think "The Superman" fits it perfectly Smile

one of my co-workers during her last pregnancy said her baby would flip his foot off her bottom ribs :O That sounds rather unpleasant too.

Nick isn't doing anything too strange... but he likes to fiddle with his hands around my cervix which is a combination of VERY weird feeling and uncomfortable. I really wouldn't be surprised to look down one day and see his hand sticking out lol.

That is so funny!!!! Superman! sounds like a crazy feeling, I wish I could see it Smile

Carolyn, I used to tell DH that the baby was trying to dig out of my cervix when I felt that! Weird feeling!

Wow that has got to be weird feeling that! Emily is a roller/twister. It gets sooo tight when she rolls around and shifts positions.

I get that superman feeling every day! She usually kicks way far to my right side and then a little left of my belly button at the same time. ANd now she is starting to kick me really high, which is sooo sooo weird. I swear she must always be pointing with her limbs facing out bc her movements are non stop. I would think if her back was facing out I would be feeling less. Hope this doesn't mean more back labor for me!

my little man only seems to move when he is squished. Like if I'm sitting in a chair he squirms around my lower belly & if I sleep on my side he hits right where I'm laying. DH put his head on my belly and he kicked him right in the ear! It's like he get's mad when his space changes!

lol Connor moves a ton. Then takes a day or two off. At first it scared me, but then I realized that his father is a nerd and does that too LOL

Jessicah, Evelyn does the exact same thing! She usually does it first thing in the morning and I always joke that she must be stretching when she wakes up because I can feel her on both sides of my waist simultaneously. The other day I was lying on my side in bed and I could see as a little hand or foot (not sure which) moved right up the side of my belly....so cool!

It's so funny to hear you all mention kicking and punching, because I always get a mental image of our little babies throwing jabs in there like little boxers. Smile

Isn't that the cutest thing when you can see them doing this?!?! Trystan certainly goes wild inside of me sometimes... I swear one night he was break dancing in there, as he was all over the place! He got the hiccups today when I was in the waiting room at the doctor's office... it's so amazing to me how you can have hiccups in amniotic fluid!

I've yet to feel the hiccups. Or maybe I just don't know that's what it is. What do they feel like?

I haven't had anything like the superman Smile but I have had "the stretchy" lol...where she pushes her body up against my tummy and stretches out with all her might! It's so uncomfortable...I can feel her back and/or head quite clearly and she makes it absolutely impossible for me to bend. Sometimes she pushes up into my ribs too, and I get short of breath because I think she's putting pressure on my diaphragm  and of course I think she still likes to hang out totally breech, so I get awful kick feelings very low and all over my bladder. She's starting to get painful!

I love feeling her roll and squirm on both the inside and the outside. That is so cool Smile

You can tell the difference because they're the same small bumps with exact timing in between... you can practically time it... Trystan's are about 3 seconds apart and always in the same one spot!

I get the cervical jabs as well. Those are terribly painful and I hate when he is down there. I guess best way to explain hiccups is they have a rhythm and to me it feels like Ryan's whole body moves. It's not a poke or jab. I guess it's just like when we get the hiccups and we "jump".
