My work is driving me nuts! (XP) *Update*

I am completely devistated right now Sad I have been trying to transfer groups at work since I found out I was pregnant. We finally hired in someone and I had him ALMOST completely trained so that I could move groups next week. He walked in the door this morning and said he got accepted into school and is leaving Sad ALL of that training and time is wasted and now I am back at square one again!

I met with the director of human resources and let them know that I am completely fed up with this situation. They thought I had already moved groups due to my payroll and organizational chart. I asked him to expidite the situation and he had some ideas in mind. He said I should hear something concrete in the next few days.

UGH THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That does suck - especially the part where they guy wastes your time for training. What a piece of work.

I hope they get you moved soon...they are really dragging this out!

**HUG** That would be terrible. I probably would have hunted down that dude in the parking lot and beat the crap out of him. I hope your boss gets on the ball and does what needsto be done. Sorry you're going through all this.

That really stinks. Hope things get better soon. Sounds like you have done everything you can for now though.

Thanks everyone. I was talking with a few other people around the company that are leaders and they told me that the HR director had already contacted them asking to switch someone over on a temporary basis. I'm glad to see that the wheels are already rolling but it still sucks! I had a countdown and everything going. Today was supposed to be 8 days left Sad

I'm so sorry you're having a hard time at work. That can be a very frustrating situation, especially when you're pregnant... you shouldn't have to deal with any extra crap like this!

I hear you on this- training staff and having them quit- frustrating- I work at a 24 hr vet clinic so the assistant staff is told at the interview that there is 12 hr rotating shifts and sometimes 8 hr all depending- we just had one girl quit after a week and half of training to tell us the hrs are not what she wants- HELLLOOO- we told you this when we interviewed you  They always say oh no problem and we waste the time training only to have to hire someone and start all over again.

So it looks promising right now. The director of HR "encouraged" another group to transfer someone over here to start training as long as someone they interviewed accepts the position they were offered to replace him. I should know something for sure at the beginning of next week hopefully and then I can start training the new guy. This is a WHOLE lot faster than going through the interview process again, making a job offer, waiting for them to start, and THEN starting training so I am happy with the results. It is amazing that I have been waiting around since the end of APRIL for this and now that someone high up in management is on the case it only takes 4 days to get a plan in place. It makes me wish I would have gone sooner! Looks like the preggo tears worked well Smile

YAY!! Glad there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. Glad your management stepped up to the plate.
