Thread: Name thoughts!

So we've decided on Connor Alexander for a boy, and for a girl we are going with Elaina (no middle name just yet). Any ideas for a middle name? What do you think of the spelling, how would you pronounce it? We want it to be e-lane-a not ellen-a or e-lean-a which might be the case if we go with the traditional spelling of Elena.

Anyone else need name help, post away!

I love Connor! Elaina is pretty too. With that spelling, I'd say E-lane-a. I have seen the Elena spelling a few times and I never know how to pronounce it. You could also do Elayna.

As for middles, I think Elaina Grace sounds nice. Elaina Marie. Elaina Christine. Elaina Catherine. Elaina Michelle.

Love the names!! I think the way you have it spelled is perfect for how you want it pronounced. Here are some ideas I came up with:

Elaina Rose
Elaina Mae
Elaina Faith
Elaina Jane
Elaina Belle

Nicole, I love Elaina Grace! That was my #1 choice but DH isn't much of a fan. I really like Elaina Catherine too, in fact I like it enough that I would seriously suggest it to DH except an estranged relative goes by Catherine and that probably wouldn't go well :/ lol!

Katie, I am loving Elaina Faith. It's sort of similar to Grace in a way!

When I saw the Elaina name that is exactly how I thought it was replaced (how you want it). Such a pretty name. I love Connor Alexander too!

we are going with Alaina for a girl and it will be pronounced the same as you want yours pronounced or close I think, something like uh lane uh. lol. I won't be much help with a middle name though because we wanted one with Lyn on it so that limited the ones I even considered.

I did really like Brooklyn, but we won't be going with that one.

I first pronounces it el.ee.ahn.a. Oops. I knew what Elana was and Elayna.

I like Elaina Kate (Kate is one of my favs) or catherine. Im trying to convince my dh to use one of those myself.

Love the names! Connor would have been in our top 4 for boys too if that was what we were having.

I would also pronounce that E-lane-a. Cute. I'm not sure I have good middle name suggestions. I like Elaina Grace, Faith or Kate. Those are all cute. Elaina Rae is cute..

Connor is our boy name too!! I also love Elaina and knew a very smart, very funny girl by that name back in college. She's like a brilliant doctor now lol. Great name choices!!
