No kicks yet :/

Per my doctor I am 21+3 weeks, but I think I'm 20+3. Anyway, I read DS's baby book and the first kick that I could see on the outside was at 18-weeks. And I remember that day, big thumping kicks! With him they thought I was further along too, so it was actually around 17-weeks.

I feel some movement but have yet to see any kicks or feel them on the outside.

Is it just me? I wonder if I have an anterior placenta? Or just a mellow baby boy? I fell bad comparing my boys already Smile

I don't see them or feel them from the outside yet. I think its pretty normal. I am just now starting to feel the baby more than just once or twice a day.

I feel movement but no kicks from the outside yet. The nurse at my latest OB appointment asked me about the movement and said I'd feel it at around 20 weeks and then quickly corrected herself to say 24 weeks, meaning 20 is common but no big kicks before 24 weeks is nothing to worry about.

I'm basically the same as you Amy! My previous 2 kids, I was feeling pretty good kicks, and also feeling them from the outside by now (like DH could feel them). This time, not yet. *Just* starting to feel some definite kicks inside, and they feel really far inside, I definitely cannot feel them outside yet, nor can I see them. I also thought that maybe I'm just having a super calm, laid back baby. DS is NOT that kind of kid, and I knew it before he was born even. He has been a wild animal since he was in the womb. I haven't had an u/s yet but I am betting I have an anterior placenta, and maybe you do too.

So I don't think it's anything to worry about! I know there are moms who haven't really felt any movement until the 3rd trimester () and still ended up with perfect little babies.

I felt DS at 16 weeks and on the outside by 18 weeks... I didn't even really have fully distinguishable inside flutters this time until 18 1/2 weeks or so.

I feel my baby a lot some days and not much at all others. I am wondering if it has to do with where the baby is laying and if he is high or low...etc. It really freaks me out when I don't feel him much ;( I think we are all in different places with it. Don't panic.

I am the same. It seemed like I was feeling my girl a lot more about 2wks ago & now not so much. I can't help but be a little concerned about it.

I know she is okay, I had an u/s on weds & see her moving around. I just am not feeling it.

I can feel a lot of movement but it's just inside. I can't feel it on the outside yet and it bums me out a little because I really want DH to be able to feel it.

I feel lots of movement but baby has to be particularly jumpy for me to feel it on the outside. DH has felt a couple little bumps but I know he's not feeling much because he doesn't get that excited, lol. I definitely haven't seen any movement!

I've finally started feeling lots of movement on the inside, but it will probably be a long time before I feel anything on the outside, since I have a lot of padding to cushion the kicks Smile

Babies definetly have their personalities early on so I would take it as a mellow baby. I probablywiuldnt worry too much if you are feeling other movements. Those big kicks with come back to haunt you when you least expect it Wink

Have you talked to your doc about it? If you were a first time mother I would say don't worry about it, but you should be definitely feeling something by now being a BTDT mom...
