Sooo, I had my NT scan yesterday and I was so nervous. This was the appt when we initially found out something was wrong with our son during my last pregnancy. Oh my gosh, I thought I would pass out waiting for the sonographer. I kept expecting the worst and then trying to figure out how I was gonna deal with it when they told me the bad news. Ah, my mind is jacked up sometimes.
Anyway, the sonographer and the dr. both did ultrasounds and everything looks great with the baby! Hallelujah! The nuchal fold measured 1.4 (they said anything below 3 is good; the dr. said 1.4 was "better than perfect") and everything looks healthy. :woohoo: AND, the dr. even made a gender guess - I was kind of surprised, but he said he is 80% accurate at this stage. It looks like we may be having a little....
GIRL! I knew it! I have had a girly feeling all along. But mostly I am just so very thankful that everything appears to be healthy so far. I had to have bloodwork but the dr. said he doesn't expect there to be any problems.
I am still cautious, but very happy that everything went great yesterday.
