For those of you doing a nursery, how's it coming along? Have you started on it? What have you done so far, or what ideas do you have up your sleeve?

I agreed this past weekend to move DD into Deacon's nursery and leave it as is with the bee theme. Justin nicely reminded me that I did it gender neutral for a reason and I should keep it that way. As much as I was ready to do a whole new nursery - its almost like a relief like "whew, that's done!". This weekend we are closing in our dining room and moving Justin's media stuff into there. Then Deacon's room will be his old media room. We are getting new carpet in Deacon's room and the nursery next Friday - I'm so excited about that.
Hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks (weekends) we will have all three rooms finished and ready to go.
LOL Jenn. I should have reminded Bill ours was neutral, but he doesn't care, that's not his thing. I just know I want girly now! Gosh, I hope ours sells. Otherwise I'll have to live with it!

We have done: 0, nada, nothing!
We have so much to do! We have to move DS into the guest room, buy him new furniture, have MIL paint his new room (she's is an amazing artist and does kids murals for a living)...then...we have to pick a theme and have MIL paint the nursery. DS' nursery was (still is) Veggie Tales, we may just keep it the same and change a few things. It really depends on how much MIL wants to do. I feel like two rooms is a lot to ask.
It's a bit overwhelming!!!

Wow! Some of you are SO ready! That's awesome.
I still feel uncomfortable making too many preparations this early. I uh ... looked up cribs on the Ikea website one time and then realized they're not selling cribs right now. That's as far as I've gotten. The new house we're moving into has HIDEOUS paint colors, so we'll for sure paint the kids' room. As much as I admire the gorgeous murals and wall decorations I've seen some of you post pictures of, I just can't imagine me and my boyfriend doing that sort of thing. We're not all that creative! I have warned my boyfriend that this nesting thing is real though and I'll need to get a lot done well before the babies' arrivals.
I am so glad to have finally picked a theme and glad DH was on board with it, lol. Woodland animals/forest is what we are going with!! I have picked out a ton of stuff online and on Etsy but nothing is bought yet, except for our changing pad cover (how random!!). It has bumble bees, dragonflies, and ferns on it. I hope I have linked this pic right, lol

We painted the nursery last weekend. PINK!!! The crib and dresser are from Nicholas. We have a big boy bed and dresser in his room now. I also got a cute butterfly and flower pink crib sheet (not pictured) and plan to put Emily's name on the wall behind the crib with some flower and butterfly vinyl stickers on the walls in random places. I also have a rocking chair in dark wood that will go in front of the window for the late night/early morning nursing sessions.
