Oh how we forget...

I was looking through some old preggo photos from my last pregnancy today to compare my belly size, and I look probably at least 3 weeks further this time... meaning I am 19 weeks now and look more like I did at 22 or 23 weeks last time! At least it isn't a good 8 weeks like I thought! haha

BUT, OMG... as I moved along through the progression, I FORGOT how huge I got! I was surprised I could even stand up straight at 38 weeks, 3 days before I gave birth. Oh man. I'm scared now.

Let me just tell you, I saw a lady over the weekend who was HUGE pregnant. All I could think about while looking at her was, "Please, God, tell me she's having twins and I won't get that big." I'm scared, definitely scared.

I'm definitely LOL at your comment Carrie! Here's what I looked like at 38 weeks (I was SOOOOO thankful he came early too... I'll tell you what.)

I bet you are surprised I could still stand up straight too! ROFL

Ah, but you look so cute! That is such a round little belly right out in front. So, if you don't mind me asking, did you get a lot of stretch marks?

I got other battle scars, but not a single stretch mark on my belly! I did get a few on my butt and bbs, but not a one on my belly. I partially attribute that to the fact that I religiously put stuff on my belly 2x a day through the whole pregnancy; the palmer's oil in the morning and the cocoa butter in the evenings. I haven't been as good about it this time, but I am still doing the oil every day and try to do lotion.

My advice is don't scratch your belly when it itches too! That can contribute to marks. Put lotion on instead. And I am now applying to the buttocks and bbs more this time too... Wink

I'm hoping to make it through without stretch marks again this time. Fingers crossed!

I bought a salve and an oil for my belly because I wanted to try a few different kinds, but I haven't been very good about putting it on, especially since the weather has been warmer. It's funny, I noticed myself itching today at work, so I guess it's time to start being a little more diligent about the belly oil.

I think the most key times to put on salve or oil or lotion is when you get out of the shower! And when you itch. And just being more aware of not itching! haha. Smile

I'm envious of your belly Carolyn! It was so evenly distributed. It was like i had a basketball in there or someone just pulled on a string at my belly button haha. Yours too Amanda! Such a perfect Belly! And Rachel! Jeez, I wish I would only get as big as you did with your 2nd! I think I am that big right now! HAHA.

Jenn... so adorable! You definitely carry low! I thought I carried low with DS, but in looking back, he was pretty high too.. Besides that, I think our bellies are pretty similar! It was like I was saying to Joee on FB this morning, it is a wonder we didn't topple over forward every time we stood up!

Thanks for sharing all your pics ladies! So beautiful! And yes, I wish we felt as good as we looked! haha. I had really forgotten how big I got and since I'm already looking 3 weeks further along this time, I'm scared at how big I'm going to get this time around.

Lots of lotion and oil ladies and wishes for comfort and no stretch marks. Wink You all made my day with your pics! :preggo: :biglove:

I was so miserable in these pictures. And FTR - in the top one, that's a draw string on my pants, not my belly button. My belly button seems to get deeper with pregnancy - so weird.

I'm really hoping I don't get that big this time. Not because of the weight as much as it just hurts. Like my skin was going to tear on the sides and the baby would just fall off my body, lol.

My belly button is almost completely sticking out! It didn't pop all the way last time, but it started at the end, and now it was like bam, here I am! ha.

How much did you gain the first time? I gained 30. Hoping to stick to that again... gain 30 and lose 35?! ha. A girl can hope. And yes, I was in so much misery in that pic too... I was so thankful he came 2 weeks early.

Carolyn went a week past her due date... i can't imagine!!! I sure hope that doesn't happen to me this time! ha.

Well I did IVF with DS so i gained 15 lbs on the meds PRE-pg  and then 50 lbs with the pg. So 65 total. I had just lost it all this past January, LOL - oh well. My labor started the day before his due date and I ended up having him 2 days later by csection...so he was a day late. Not too bad. This time I am praying to deliver around 37/38 weeks to be able to get a VBAC.

Well if it makes you feel any better, my sister gained 60 with her girl and she didn't have IVF meds! I know of a couple of girls who gained that and bounced back no problem.

I hear ya on the losing it though. I had just really gotten back into good shape when I got pregnant, so getting "bigger" this time has been hard for me. I keep exercising, but by the looks of my cottage cheese butt, you wouldn't know it! I will keep working out though and plan to be more diligent about working out when I'm BF'ing, assuming all goes well there, and that should help me get back into shape again.

Visualizing that for you! I think there is a lot to be said about visualizing and telling yourself how the prgnanancy and delivery go. Keep visualizing and I bet it will come true!

I haven't been exercising at all. Before I got pg I was doing Zumba about 1-2 times a week. I had planned to continue while pg but I am so exhausted that the last thing I want to do is stay up later for a class.

Thanks - I hope you are right! That would be awesome.

Wow, these pictures are all tiny. I'm afraid I've already started scaring myself viewing end-of-pregnancy photos of mothers of multiples. I'll scare the bejeezus out of you in 19 weeks or so.
