ooops!

Anyone else totally forget about the "limit your caffeine intake" rule for pregnancy?

I'm embarrassed to admit I am almost back to my pre-pregnancy intake levels
I swear it just snuck up on me ( I blame Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte).
Poor kiddo is going to need a coffee IV as soon as he's born to avoid withdrawls :coffee:

I totally have. I limit myself to one coffee per day, but then I always manage to squeeze in an iced tea or a diet coke or something like that.

my guilty oops is not taking my prenatals. I don't think I've taken one since the 1st trimester!

Yes to both of these! It's funny you mention the caffeine thing because I bought a 20oz Diet Coke today after I had already drank Dr. pepper this morning and I thought to myself "Well, so much for limiting my caffeine" lol.

And with the prenatals...I was doing SO well up until about 3 weeks ago when the heartburn came back with a vengeance and my stomach started rejecting almost everything I ate. I carry the vitamins with me all the time, I just forget to take them! Glad I'm not the only one!

Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one forgetting my prenatals!! I also forget my iron because I have to take it on an empty stomach and then not eat for another hour, but by the time my stomach is empty I don't want to wait another hour to eat!!

I can't have caffeine at all anymore except for the occasional can of Coke. It makes me go crazy now and feel sick!!

I don't even pay attention to my caffeine in take these days. I'm too tired.

And for prenatal - mine are gummies and taste really good - so I actually look forward to them every night before bed.

I've been really bad about prenatals. I'm trying to do better, because at 28 weeks when I had blood drawn I found out my iron was low. So now I've been taking them again, but every few days I skip a day or two to help with constipation (seems to help anyways).

Caffeine I'm okay with. I usually have up to 1 can of pop a day.

I don't drink coffee or pop so I am okay on the caffeine limits. I do have the odd rootbeer but it has no caffeine so I am ok.

Prenatals- I have fallen behind on those. Dh does the odd time bring them to my bedside with a glass of water.

I have 1 can soda/day and that's it. Yesterday I had a decaf sugar-free vanilla latte as a treat. I can't wait until I can order again at Starbucks with only a few words and not feeling totally demanding.

You can get the pumpkin spice lattes decaf (still has some caffeine though) and that will make you feel less guilty.

I am horrible about prenatals. I am so glad I am not the only person neglectful in this!! I'm also bad with the caffeine.

I have no problem with my prenatals. But I have two cups of half caf. in the am and then sometimes some soda....maybe a couple of days a week.

I'm horrible w/ caffeine intake. I don't even count it & I LOVE coffee. Terrible I know, but I just don't care at this point. =/

Lol I think I only followed that rule with my first baby. I always try hard in the beginning, but now I'm back to my 3 or 4 diet cokes in a day and coffee now... but only because that peppermint mocha creamer is back in stores for the holidays!! I think by this point they're fine... think about it... our grandmothers used to drink wine all of the time with our parents, so our kids are fine with a little coffee stimulation now and then lol!
