Peek-a-boo Belly

I have the worst case of peek-a-boo belly! WTH! It seems like no matter what size maternity shirt I wear, my belly pops out of the bottom! None of them seem long enough! Am I really just that big already? Makes me sad and dread the fact that I have a lot more growing to go! Sheesh.

I mean, look at this beast! I can't possibly go for 8 more weeks... can I???????

I'm pretty sick of the updraft, among other things.

Aww, you still look cute, though! I know what you mean. I have taken to wearing a long tank top undearneath some tops - could you try that? Or maybe one of those belly bands.

I buy the long tank tops at Motherhood or Old Navy for that very reason. I hate that!

Or you can do what I do -- get over it because buying another shirt would be annoying and just grunt when well-meaning friends try to fix it for you! Blum 3

I think you look cute. Hopefully it will just get cold pretty soon & then you won't have to deal w/ it. You will just be able to cover up w/ a warm sweater or something.

Target has good maternity tanks & plenty of the lean & long style shirts.

Mine is peaking out too, I think I'm just not going to care anymore. We are supposed to be having a heat wave the rest of the week. ugh, my thighs just aren't what they used to be. lol

I have it too. I like the maternity tanks under most shirts and also I hot the bellybands out just for this too. Works for me but I agree the peekaboo belly is quite annoying.

This is a very annoying problem, and the worst part of it is that you would think they would design maternity tops to completely cover you...but they don't. I have found that most of them are big enough to accomodate the belly, but not long enough to cover it up! And please, I also don't want the band on my maternity jeans to be sticking out either! Is is frustrating. When all else fails, I just use one of my belly bands.

The most annoying part I find is that when you leave the house in the morning the belly is covered & by the time you get home in the evening it has been popping out half the day.

This is exactly what I was going to say!! My belly grows as the day progresses. So whatever I put on that fits in the AM is so darn tight I remove it as soon as I get home from work. UGH.

lol same here! I bought some longer tanks but they always seem to ride up my belly, I am constantly pulling my top down all day at work!

You look cute!! Smile thankfully all my maternity stuff is long so I'm okay, except for two tshirts. They can barely cover me anymore and so I bought two more in a size up. Now they are tight in the belly, but baggy across my shoulders which looks a little weird...oh well!!

Aww Jules you look beautiful!! I have the same problem with shirts, so Im happy to hear it's not just me!! I don't understand why it's so freakin hard for these maternity places to make a shirt that covers a pregnant belly !?!?!?

A lot of maternity pants come up and over the belly, so at least you wouldn't have to worry about the draft so much.

I can't wear those pants that have the thing that goes over the belly! So it is bare belly peeking out and saying HELLO to everyone below my shirts. Oh well, I think I'm going to stop caring like Sheila suggested.

Thanks for all the nice comments though ladies. I feel so FREGGIN huge, I truly can't believe I have 8 more weeks of growing to do! That just doesn't seem possible! At my appt. today, I am measuring 2 1/2 weeks ahead. She says that doesn't mean anything, but I sure hope that means sooner than later.

The babies head is in my pelvis too. Does that mean she is dropped? She said that is probably why I am having sciatic nerve pain. I have an appt. in a week and a half for a PT adjustment. Hope I make it that long...
