PUPPPs Rash

For the BTDT - any of you get this in your pregnancies? Any FTM have it? I know its rare - but I got it with DS and it was brutal. I ended up having 2-3 rounds of oral steroids before it went away.

Woke up this morning with the beginnings of what looks like PUPPPs again. I'm so bummed. I really thought it was so rare and if you do get it you only get it in your first pregnancy. I've already called into the OB this morning and I hope he will give me relief - especially with a long weekend coming up. But last time I had to practically convince him that it was PUPPPs because he just didn't want to jump to that conclusion.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that has dealt with this and now possibly dealt with it in multiple pregnancies.

i think generally its only seen in the 1st pregnancy because it's the first time the skin has been stretched. It gets less common with each pregnancy because I'm pretty sure it erupts from fresh stretch marks that trigger an inflammatory response?? I hope you feel better and they can get you some cream for it.

I haven't heard of it! I got gout with my first pregnancy though, and that was brutal. Hope you get a response from the doc!

I'm going to the OB at 11:30 this morning. This darn thing started yesterday and is already all over my feet and spreading to my hands and more on my belly.

Praying for steroids!

I didn't have it but I do know what it is. I am sorry you have to deal with all that again! Hopefully the doctor can give you some relief. I can't stand to itch and I don't know how anyone could deal with that 24/7.

Oh no! I hope the meds work for you. Sounds miserable. I've heard of it but wasn't sure what it was. I think I will refrain from googling, now that you mention it. lol

Yep!!! This is actually the first time I've gotten this with any of my pregnancies. Mine isn't too horrible, but it's all on the bottom where my underwear line is, and on the very top of the belly. It itches like crazy, so I've just been using my psoriasis cream on it and it goes away. Hope it's not driving you too crazy!
