Hey girls, so what are you all currently reading, or what was the last really good book that you read?
I'm currently reading "Illusions" by Aprilynne Pike... it's about a high school girl that's secretly a fairie. Before that I finished "Dead Reckoning" by Charlaine Harris... it's the latest in the Sookie Stackhouse novels (I think there's twelve of them now?)... if you're not familiar these are the books that the HBO show True Blood is based on!
I'm reading 3 books at once lol. I'm reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Game of Thorns and harry potter
I love reading! Posts like this make me happy.
I am rereading Memory of Earth by Orson Scott Card.
I just recently reread Harry Potter and I read the first few of the Sookie Stackhouse ones. I need to finish those.
I usually read more interesting books but currently I am reading "The Sound of Hope." It is a book for parents of pre-school children with Audio Processing Disorders. DS was diagnosed last February and starts Kindergarten this fall. We are in major learning mode trying to give him as best of support as we can. He is really doing fabulous and I am so encouraged by his progress. This book gives us ideas on ways we can help him with his speech and listening.
I am into reading older books and authors such as Mark Twain, CS Lewis, ect. as well as biographies and autobiographies. Not sure what I'll read next!
I recently read "Water for Elephants" and it was really good. I haven't seen the movie and probably won't until it comes out on redbox.
It was really good! I loved that book. I think it was a bit too graphic in a couple of the places, lol, but overall I really enjoyed it. I haven't seen the movie either.
I am reading the left behind series. I am an avid reader and these are some of the BEST books I have read.
I read the first 6 of those probably and then between the 6th and 7th, got distracted by something and never finished them when they came out. I should finish those!
In between text books I'm reading a really trash Jackie Collins book called Married Lovers. It's a perfect escape from the seriousness of school:). I save the more intense reads for breaks!
I just finished "Conversations with God." It was interesting. Thinking about reading "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Heard good things about it.
Currently reading "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth" for the third time (this time it is to write a book review for my childbirth educator training)
The last fiction book I read was "Paranormalcy" by Kristin White. It is light and a fun take on the vampire/warewolf/faerie/mythical creature trend--I've been into the vampire thing, and this book gave me an opportunity to laugh at myself
