QOTD: Sunday

One good thing about today?

One bad thing?

Good thing: I got to be alone with DH for a day and a half. And I just noticed someone bought me something off my registry.

Bad thing: I am so tired and have bad heartburn. (I don't think that is really BAD stuff, but since you asked)

Good: Despite being exhausted I got a lot done at home today, little by little. And I even fit in a 3 hour nap.

Bad: Its Sunday, that means work tomorrow and the dreaded GBS test. yuck!

My good thing was The Children's Place was having a big sale in store, plus I had a coupon for 25% off of my entire purchase, so I got DD two shirts, a pair of jeans, a sweater dress, hat, two sets of pjs, and a shirt for each of my boys for just $66.00!!

My bad thing is I'm in so much pain. I shouldn't have gone to the mall because of course it brought on the contractions. At this point it literally feels as though his head is pushing right on my cervix... like he's going to fall out if I don't keep my legs together. I can barely walk from my car to my front door anymore without shedding tears. I'm really hoping when I go to my appt Tuesday I'll be dilated to 5CM (that seems to be my OB's office magic number) and she'll send me straight to the hospital. I know I wanted to try and have him naturally, but at this point I couldn't care less... I just want him out!

Good thing: Well, since I didn't have them yet, my boyfriend might be able to get in another day or two of work. If they come Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday, the timing would be absolutely perfect as far as getting maximum time together at home.

Bad thing: Apparently, regular, 5-minute contractions mean absolutely nothing in some pregnancies! This pregnancy just keeps right on going, probably endlessly, and my skin just keeps right on ripping. Sad

Good thing... we finally got all of Luke's clothes sorted and figured out what we need to buy still. Yes, we are doing this AFTER he is here. lol, This is why is good to get it done early.

Bad.. Today is Dh's last day off and I am all on my own tomorrow night when he goes to work.

Good thing: I continued the "nesting" phase by washing the swing, bouncy seat and bassinet. I did some more organizing. 5 more days!

Bad thing: now DH is sick Sad He's at urgent care right now and may have a sinus infection too.

Good thing: Finished the nursery today (pics soon, I didn't get dressed in picture worthy clothes today). Also I returned some stuff from baby showers on Saturday and it was worth over $100!

Bad thing: My parents left after spending the weekend here. Nicholas was so sad to see them go.

Good thing: it was 50degrees today! And we got our outside Christmas decorations done... And my Hubby helped! He isn't always a good helper but he is getting better and it makes me feel good. And I see my midwife tomorrow!

Bad: I am really uncomfortable today. I think maybe I ate too much.

I know, OB said that once they're 4-5 minutes apart lasting more than an hour to go to L&D... but I couldn't get that lucky. They come here and there, in no particular pattern. I've been doing my kick counts religiously every night, hoping that maybe I could go to L&D based on that (that's how I went in with my first baby, and low and behold I was in labor!) but no such luck... he keeps kicking and rolling away lol! Like I said, hopefully once I wheelbarrel myself into my Dr's office Tuesday I'll be dilated to 5 already. Oh, I forgot to mention too, that I've been losing my plug, so that has to mean more action going on down there, right?? IDK, I'm driving myself crazy with all of this delivery talk...

Good Thing: Spent time with my mom and sisters today and the kids got to play with their cousins. It's kinda become a Sunday tradition since my DH works on Sundays now.

Bad Thing: My step-sons mother made an abrupt appearance as her mothers house while my step-son was there. She is a piece of crap and I wish my step-son (and he does too for the most part) didn't have to see her.

Krystal, i tried to quote you, but I'm on my phone and keep messing up! I just wanted to say I've been losing my mucus plug for a good week now.... And nothing! All those so called signs of labor have meant absolutely nothing this pregnancy! Annoying!

Good thing: no annoying regular false labor contractions.

Bad thing: no regular real labor contractions!

Lol! Well, finally after b*tching at DH for over a week about not getting any we finally DTD last night... but he didn't finish! I was so frustrated... but it's not his fault. He's just to that point where he's afraid he's hurting me or the baby and can't get past that enough to come! It's sweet, but frustrating at the same time, because I know me having an orgasm helps, but his "little swimmers" are what really does the trick to bring on the contractions! Sorry if this was TMI lol, but it's just so frustrating!!

Carolyn, the funny thing is that I've NEVER lost my plug with any of my babies... so this is all new to me. I figured that being 4CM last Monday and now with the plug coming out little by little every day that that must mean I'm contracting and dilating more (fingers crossed!)!! But who knows... all I know is if I go in to my appt Tuesday and I'm still at a 4 I'm going to flip my lid lol!!

Female orgasm is helpful for contrax too. Too bad you didn't get the swimmers to do their job. But really they only help with effacement since it the prostaglandins in it. Maybe it helped to sweep the membrane a little?

Does sex hurt for you?

I can't O lately. I think too much fluid pressure in the area. I'm not too sad about that since I really have no drive.

Good: my mom came to visit and see the nursery. I hadn't seen her in a couple weeks so that was nice Smile

Bad: I am very tired today despite sleeping a lot last night and I feel like I have arthritis  that's a new one! I read that your joints can all start to hurt a lot from fluid retention I guess. My hands are terrible and I am so stiff and sore in the mornings. The stiffness was gone by 4 or 5, and DH and I went for a drive and a short walk through the grocery store. Well all the bumpy roads and then the walk brought on some contractions and now I am uncomfortable. Then I stuffed myself for dinner haha...whoops. I'm on my ball now though which is helping!

It depends on the position. The most comfy for me is him on top, as he's pretty good about staying off of my belly. When I get on top it hurts now because it feels like he goes too deep and is stabbing my cervix. Same thing if we do doggy-style (lol, I feel like I'm busting out the entire Kama Sutra!)... just feels too deep and so it can get painful. The spooning position is nice too, but that really does nothing for me. I find I get the most intense O from him being on top, so that's where I like him! Have you tried doing other things to O? Will DH go down on you (sadly, mine hasn't for a couple of months... I think that whole thing freaks him out when I'm this far along... like it's just too close to the baby lol)? You could always just take care of yourself... that's what I do on the days when DH just doesn't want to help me out lol!! I know it's not the same... I miss the intimacy for sure. That's another reason why I can't wait for Trystan to arrive. I'm good after about three weeks, assuming there's no tearing down there... of course DH always wants to take the doctor's advice and wait the six weeks, but I think as long as you're comfortable you can go for it!
