QOTD: Thursday

Are you going to buy your LO anything for Christmas this year (whether they come before or after)? If so, are you going to wrap it?

I don't think I'll buy Trystan anything this year, even though he'll definitely be here when Christmas comes. It's the one year that you can get away with not getting them anything, because they're born so close to the holiday! He definitely will have his own stocking though (not that I'll put anything in it lol!)!!!

Yes, I will get her a gift or two from santa and probably put some of the rattles and things I already have for her in the stocking. I will wrap them and let DS open them for her and give them to her!

In the other thread I had posted that we wouldn't be buying Ryan anything for Christmas. However, someone raised a good point about how the older sibling would feel if Santa left out the baby. So I think I've decided that if Ryan is here before Christmas we will get him a small present from Santa so Brynna doesn't wonder why her brother was forgotten. If he is born after Christmas then we won't worry about it.

Nope - nada. She isn't expected to be here so I want to focus on Deacon one last year. However, if she is here I will put some of her baby shower gifts under the tree from Santa so Deacon doesn't wonder why Santa didn't know about her.

This makes sense... but my kids know that Santa is not real (well, let me re-phrase, they know that he was a real man years ago and we tell them the story of him, but as far as presents, they know that they all come from mom and dad!) so thankfully this isn't an issue!

Yeah we'll have a stocking for baby, and we'll put a few gifts in there & from Santa, for the reason that others pointed out of the older siblings wondering where Santa's gifts for the baby are. Just little gifts and all useful stuff that I would have bought anyway!

Nah, we won't buy anything...my family will probably buy us enough stuff as it is.

Nope. She might not even be here at Christmas.

Nicholas will only be getting a few things from us too. He is young so he doesn't know the difference. Plus the grandparents and aunt/uncles spoil the mess out of him so there is no need for us to go all out.

No, although I agree with you ladies who have other kids...we would get her something if we had an older one and didn't want to ruin Santa just yet Wink

I will get her a couple baby's first Christmas decorations though probably, and I'm sure the extended family will spoil her a bit.

I was wondering about this. Me and DH probably won't get anything for her but I'm sure she will get stuff from the Grandparents.

I think we will get a few little things - c-section is going to be after christmas but you never know. My ds still believes and he asked if the baby will get anything. My dd is almost 13 so she knows about santa but maybe a couple outfits or rattle toys, but nothing huge. As the bay will be close to christmas, i have a feeling the grandparents will get baby some things.

Yep, keeping the Santa myth alive for my DD. Baby will be getting a play mat, not wrapped and a stocking full of pasifiers, rattles, and other basic necessities (that I'd have to buy anyway...). Mom and Dad are getting her a "My Pal Violet" dog, and maybe another toy to even out the presents... :occasion1: (closest thing I could find to a Christmas smiley).
