Random Question - What's for dinner?

I'm throwing some steaks on the grill. I haven't got the rest figured out yet...probably some kind of veggie.

DH is out of town so I'm probably going to put a frozen pizza in the oven Smile

We had steaks and baked potatoes last night.

I don't get off work till 11PM tonight, so it's probably something simple and gross like cereal or a sandwich for me!

I have not been able to cook for months, if I do cook I can't eat it. It is horrible. I end up feeling horrible if I don't eat, but if I try to I feel so grossed out I have to concentrate on not throwing up.

I miss homemade meals.

I'm kind of embarrassed by this... lol but I have been craving my Momma's thanksgiving. She died in 2005 and lately I've been missing her so much and I know if she were alive I would feel like eating lol. So i went and bought all the stuff for a small 2 person thanksgiving lol and made it. The woman who checked me out at the store thought I was insane.

That actually sounds amazing! I used to love to make breakfast for dinner, but since I gave up grains that means pancakes are out and since I've been preggo, I can't stand the look or smell of bacon, so that really limits my choices. Though DH and I are going to try to make almond flour biscuits with sausage gravy this morning.

I think that's so sweet! That totally made me tear up reading that. I'm sorry for the loss of your mom - I can't imagine. ((HUGS))

Last night was hot dogs (nitrate free) noodles smothered in butter and cheddar cheese, and watermelon.

Tonight....not sure? Maybe fish sticks and leftover noodles with some bagged veggies. I'm such a chef, can't you tell? Smile

Um - random! LOL I can't even picture that meal, yet it sounds really good. I still haven't been able to find nitrate free hot dogs at the store. Is it somewhere I'm not looking? Organic section perhaps?

I made chicken and rice yesterday and had it for lunch today and will probably have it tonight. I know DS won't eat it but at least I can put it in front of him.

Yum, fish sticks sound so good. Last night I was bumming DS Kid Cuisine popcorn chicken off of him. I was stealing it like it was crack, lol.

I think the ones we get are actually Oscar Mayer. They are called "Premium" I think.

tonight we are doing chicken fajitas. I have no motivation to stand and slice chicken and stir fry... so i just mixed up the seasoning packet, poured it over two breasts and stuck it in the oven. I will shred it when it comes out, put it on tortillas, add sour cream, lettuce, and tons of salsa! im really excited about it lol

Lots of good cooking going on tonight girls. I hope it all turns out well! DH made a big pot of chili yesterday so we had that tonight, topped with shredded cheese and sour cream. And I had a big bowl of watermelon...my biggest craving these days!

Mmmmm Carolyn your dinner sounds so good! DH actually helped me cook yesterday (wow!) and we made a semi-decent ground beef and macaroni casserole. Not that great, but better than take out Smile tonight I'm going to have the leftovers with garlic bread and a caesar salad!

We get the same ones. Look for expensive ones and you will find them LOL

Jenn- the noodles taste like homemade mac and cheese. Smile mmmmmm

Ok so dinner last night: Fish sticks, sweet potato french fries, microwaved steamed peas. DH cooked as I felt like I was going to throw up until food actually got out of the oven.

Lately food has been grilled chicken legs ( thighs withdrumsticks) that was really good! We had it with corn and chips and homemade roasted tomato salsa! Yum! Then I've also been making sauceless veggie lasagna. It sounds funny but it's fantastic! Everyone loves it! I also make black beans and rice. That's quick and easy. Tonight not sure what. Probably leftovers ha!

Oh drool. I looooooove stuffed peppers, and now I totally want them! I even found a recipe for stuffed pepper soup which is so delicious. Dang. No peppers in the house and I seriously don't feel like going anywhere but am really considering going to get some.

Yum, I bet your meal will be fab!
