Scary dizziness...

Hey girls... I feel as though I've been gone from the board forever although it's only been 3 days! I'm off Tuesday and Wednesday and would have been back to work yesterday (and back to posting lol), but when I woke up yesterday morning the room was spinning. Even when I closed my eyes I felt like I was on a sick rollercoaster. It was horrible. I got up anyway to shower, thinking that maybe it would make me feel better, and I pretty much had to clutch the wall even standing in the shower. I knew there was no way that I could come in to work, so I called in and went back to bed. After sleeping another hour it was still just as bad as before, so I called my OB office. The nurse said that it sounded like I wasn't eating enough (which is true, but not because of any fault of mine, I just get full very easily because baby is getting bigger!). She told me to make a peanut butter sandwich and drink some OJ. Thankfully a couple of hours later the dizziness was gone, but I had a horrible lingering headache the rest of the day. She said that it's caused by low blood sugar, which makes sense I suppose. So now I keep OJ on hand (I normally don't because I don't like to drink any calories) and am trying to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones. It's just so hard to try and do with working full time and caring for 3 kids! Anyway, I'm feeling better today and back to work... hope you all are well!

Same boat here. Never had this problem with my other babies. I was told to have protein bars and some candy in my purse. Take care of yourself!!!

Ugh, that is so scary! I hope you don't have any more issues with it- please take good care of yourself-- hard to do with other kiddos I know!
I have vertigo from time to time (unrelated to pregnancy or blood sugar or anything- just an inner ear thing that runs in my family) and I know exactly what you're talking about! I actually had a bout of dizziness earlier today, and I think it was sinus related. It's awful!

sorry that happened, glad you're okay!!

Sounds exactly what I've been going through almost every day! Dr. Thinks I have anemia or gestational diabetes Sad I know something is up, cause I just don't feel right!

**HUGS** I get like this when I don't eat consistantly. I got sick at work and told them I had to go and get a snack or else I was going to pass out in the floor. So I took about a 15 minute break and got me a little something to eat and sat down, propped my feet up and rested. I felt tons better.

I'm glad you're okay!! I have had the same thing, but I know exactly what you mean about getting full quickly. I find I can only eat maybe half of what I used to in a sitting before I am just too uncomfortable. I used to avoid juice too because of all the calories, but wow I go through a lot now. Probably not great, but lots of OJ or cranberry-raspberry juice helps me get going in the morning and I feel less dizzy and sick.
