So the past few days of my vacation have been fun, but pretty physically exhausting. We did a lot of sightseeing and I did a lot of walking. A LOT. So, today, since it's raining, we were going to have a pretty restful day by driving to the mall and just strolling around there. First store we went into, as soon as I walked in, I felt a gush. Hunted down the bathroom. Blood. Enough to soak through my underwear and stain my pants. So, off we went to the ER...4 hours away from home....in a strange place. They admitted me and started taking my vitals. The nurse left the room and I started to feel dizzy, so I told DH to let someone know that I was feeling like I was going to pass out. Sure enough, I did...and threw up all over. Doctor and nurses said they thought I might have a seizure. At that point they hooked me up to an IV and I was in for the long haul.
To make a long story short, I spent 10 hours at the hospital having every kind of test run and they couldn't find a single thing wrong with me. No one seemed to be able to explain where this gush of blood came from. I was scared, tired, and miserable, but the good thing is, Evelyn was carrying on in there like nothing ever happened, having her own little party. They did an u/s, NST, vaginal exam, bloodwork, urine samples, you name it. Nothing. Cervix closed, placenta intact, baby fine.
So, needless to say I am home now and ok. I'm still planning to head home on Sunday and see my doctor first thing on Monday morning. Hopefully, we'll be without incident until then. Please keep us in your prayers that nothing else happens until she's ready to come out!!
