Name: Julie
EDD: 12/5
How are you feeling: Finally better! Not sick! Pregnancy wise, I feel pretty good too. Just the occasional leg/foot cramp
When is your next appt. and what is it for?: Tomorrow. Regular prenatal check up and hoping to hear the results of my GTT test.
What is your favorite "Baby book" you have read or are reading?: When I was pregnant with DS, I really liked "What to expect when you're expecting". I haven't read any baby books with this one yet, but I'm considering getting the DVD of the book "Happiest Baby on the Block".
What are the most annoying things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?: "You are still waiting?" Um, yea... still waiting.
What are the nicest things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?: Just that I look cute... that seems to be what people say when they say something nice.
Are you suffering from the mysterious "pregnancy brain," and if so, how bad is it?: It is getting worse by the minute. I had to resort to sticky notes, and now I think it is time I start sticking the sticky notes to my forehead or something.
What is the last thing you bought/got for baby?: A breathable bumper. I found a really awesome one that was super affordable at TJ Maxx last weekend.
Something bad?: That it is only Tuesday?! Ha. I live for the weekends and time with my DH and DS.
Something good?: I have been CHERISHING my time with DS lately. I am enjoying him so much and trying to soak up as much time as possible before our lives change. I also have enough PTO that I have to use before the baby comes that I could almost take every Friday off before baby comes. Totally considering it! Also, my DH is finally getting a scaled down schedule at work and got to pick what he worked. He has been working 55 hours a week, but starting next week he is back to around 40 and will have every Friday off!!! WOOT
Name: Carolyn
EDD: Dec 12
How are you feeling: So sick last night!!!! I had contractions for about 2 hours. I swear if I was 40 weeks we would have been headed to the hospital, they were that strong plus nausea and cold sweats, just like when I was in labor with Luke. I woke up this morning with horrible GI stuff. I feel fine now. I'm guessing I just had some sort of GI thing that made me have contractions??? Not fun!
When is your next appt. and what is it for?: Sometime next week, 30 week check up
What is your favorite "Baby book" you have read or are reading?: Homegrown Kids
What are the most annoying things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?: Last week at work three people told me how huge I am. One lady said "oh you poor thing" when I said i still had 10 weeks to go. She thought I was way farther along. Ugh. I hate when people say stuff like that.
What are the nicest things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?: the nicest things come from you ladies here![]()
Are you suffering from the mysterious "pregnancy brain," and if so, how bad is it?: I don't know... I've always been forgetful!!
What is the last thing you bought/got for baby?: The only thing so far is his crib from Craigslist
Something bad?: I have been either pregnant, breastfeeding, or both the entire time we've been married. I can't even remember what it was like to have any sort of physical feelings for my husbandI want cycles again!! I have had three cycles since getting married and got pregnant with two of them. I've menstruated once in the last 27 months!
Something good?: only up 13 pounds... but that was after being sick all night haha
Baby #3 due July 6 2013
Name: Sheila
EDD: End of November, hopefully!
How are you feeling: Shocked that I just threw up! But generally OK.
When is your next appt. and what is it for?: This Friday for my weekly cervical check and ultrasound.
What is your favorite "Baby book" you have read or are reading?: "Twins!" had some great information but the horrific editing was distracting. (The author or editor didn't know the difference between it's and its!) I'm really looking forward to reading "Emotionally Healthy Twins," which is next in my pile. I was offended by the pushiness of the La Leche books and by the condescension of "What to Expect When You're Expecting." My boyfriend and I pretty much make fun of "What to Expect" on a daily basis, quoting the dads section about picking up your socks, and your slacks, and while you're at it why don't you pick up the slack while your woman cooks and cleans for you.
What are the most annoying things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?: Bullshoot about enjoying bedrest when they don't realize there's a finite amount of time that I can take off from work and it feels like **** having to take time off now, which means I'll have to be back at work even sooner despite the fact that I will have TWO babies to care for and try to bond with, which I should expect will take a lot more time than if it were one.
What are the nicest things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?: Three different women at work -- a fraternal twin, an identical twin, and a mother of fraternal twins -- really went out of their way for me when I found out I was having twins.
Are you suffering from the mysterious "pregnancy brain," and if so, how bad is it?: I noticed it big time at work but not so much now that I just sit around.
What is the last thing you bought/got for baby?: I bought a nursing bra online last night.
Something bad?: You know what? Things are good. I made it past 28 weeks and the babies are sticking in there. Even my dog seems to be doing well for the moment and I'm so happy to be celebrating our big 8th anniversary with him today -- yes, I'm a little crazy about my boy!![]()
Something good?: I get to go to my baby shower this weekend!
Jules - I love that you are cherishing your time with DS, I'm trying to do the same.
Carolyn - how scary! Sorry to hear about the contractions.
Sheila - I can't wait to hear about your shower!

My grandma said to me "This is your last baby right?" She thought we should have been done after 2. And this is from a woman who had 6 kids in 8 years.
What are the nicest things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?:
The "Oh you look so cute!" sort of thing
Are you suffering from the mysterious "pregnancy brain," and if so, how bad is it?:
Um yes. Between just regular pregnancy brain and exhaustion, my brain is just kinda useless these days.
What is the last thing you bought/got for baby?:
I just bought a fleece & nylon winter-weight baby carrier cover so I can keep the babe warm while we walk to the bus stop to pick up DD after school every day.
Something bad?:
I'm uncomfortable. And whiny. LOL
Something good?:
I remember infertility and my multiple miscarriages enough to know that being 7 months pregnant with a healthy baby and a normal, uneventful pregnancy is the BEST thing I could possibly want right now. What is your favorite "Baby book" you have read or are reading?: I haven't really read any. I just poke around online when I'm curious about what's going on!
What are the most annoying things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?: if I dare complain about the smallest thing (usually being tired and/or stressed), everyone likes to jump down my throat and tell me how it will only get worse after the baby is born. OR if I express how excited I am about having a baby, they like to tell me all their nightmarish stories about parenting. UGH!
What are the nicest things friends or strangers have said to you about you being pregnant?: that I look amazing, or that I was "made to be pregnant" (probably because I am literally all round belly). I like the compliments because I just feel fat
Are you suffering from the mysterious "pregnancy brain," and if so, how bad is it?: TERRIBLE!!!! oh my gosh. It's not that I forget things, it's that I am just thinking through a foggy brain ALL THE TIME. I have a very creative job and I am constantly just blank for ideas. It's very weird and frustrating.
