Shower update

So despite all the insanity I had a nice time. The decorations were cute and most of my favorite friends showed up. I did not make a haul and got tons of disposable diapers even though I am hoping to use cloth. I got two things off of my registry. Everything else was stuff I will likely return, not because I do not like it, but I still need some big items like a crib and carseat. I have enough 3-6 month onsies and bibs.

I did make the fruit salad. But I did it more for myself than her. I wanted to have a nice party and so I made one. I gave her a candle for a thank you. It cost me $10. I just wanted to be the better person and do all my stuff right.

The games were cute and not humiliating! I liked that!!!

My favorite gift was one off my registry it is the crib aquarium with a remote. I can't wait for him to use it. It is so cute.

She asked everyone to bring diapers and so I have quite a few packages of diapers, but she feels like It will last long....They are the small packages, and will go fast. Sad I will keep some and return some.

Anyway I had fun, and was relaxed. Came home tired and slept the rest of the rainy day Smile It was a good day.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and you made the salad just to enjoy if for no one else than yourself.

Sounds like it was a relaxing, fun shower. And thank goodness for non-embarrassing games!

I'm so glad you had a nice time at your shower overall Joy! Doesn't that drive you a little nuts about your registry though... lol! At least you got loads of diapers! I got three boxes and one small bag, and I'm so thankful for those at least, that will get me through the first month! I went and bought a bag of the newborn size... but just one because I'm afraid he'll be too big for any more and he'll just go straight to the size 1 after a couple of weeks!

I'm glad you had a nice time. I had my shower this weekend too and I will most likely be returning some things, so that I can buy the things I really need. Like you, I still need a car seat and a few other big ticket items.

I'm glad you had a nice time. Even if you decide to use cloth it doesn't hurt to have disposables in each size around. We use cloth but at night we use disposables. We also use the sposies until the cord fell off ( which took almost a month the last two times).

We are planning to CD too, but I think I am going to go out and get a pack of small sposies in case I need them during those first few weeks.
