Snoring

So have any of you been told you have been snoring? DH told me the other day I have been snoring lots and he has to poke or give me a nudge to get me to stop lol I have never really snored before and He's hoping it goes away after I have the baby. I guess I fell asleep on the couch the other night and even ds made a comment to dad to listen to mom- she's snoring!

And I guess not a quiet snore - i apparently snore like an old man  From what I have read it seems like its quite normal. We had a good laugh about it- but then the other night I kept waking up cause I think I was worried about snoring!

So anyone else snoring like an old man??

I've been sleeping in another room while we transition ds into his own bed, so I have no one in there to hear me. I wonder if I am. The bigger you get the more squished things get, so I could see that happening to me. LOL

DH has mentioned it once or twice but he is the loudest snorer ever so I would be happy to get even with him Wink

DH has not said anything, but it would not surprise me. My sinus' are so painful right now and I feel like I cannot get air. Good news is it goes away after birth Smile

I haven't been told I snore. However, my husband could sleep through a hurricane so I doubt snoring would bother him.

I would have to be yelling ion order for my DH to hear me over his snoring, so, I guess I am "lucky" in that department?

DH hasn't said anything to me about it yet, but as I'm falling asleep I have woken myself up with a "snort." So I know I am about to snore but it wakes me up. I assume it is because my lungs are smooshed and I can't get comfy.

My snoring is out of control. DH says he can hear me from across the house when he's watching tv at night in our guest room. LOL. And in the past couple of days I've woken myself up with my own snoring, so I know it's bad.

DH says I snore. It's ok because he does too sometimes. I snored last pg too and it went away.

I don't usually but I did snore in early pregnancy. Now I don't so much anymore...weird!

I thought this was the case because i feel so squished but when reading about it I found the following on a lot of sites:

# Swollen nasal passages may be at least partly to blame for your midnight melodies. Higher levels of estrogen during pregnancy contribute to swelling in the mucous membranes lining the nose and can even cause you to make more mucus.
# The amount of blood in your body increases when you're pregnant and your blood vessels expand, which can lead to swollen nasal membranes.
# Congestion from other causes, such as a cold or allergies, can cause snoring.
# The heavier you are to begin with and the more weight you gain during pregnancy, the more likely you are to have trouble breathing during sleep, because of the extra tissue in your neck and throat.

I am glad it goes away- we laugh about it though!

That all makes sense. I knew there was probably a more scientific reason! Wink I definitely am more mucousy, especially since my bad cold last month... constantly clearing my throat and I'm stuffy when I first wake up! I am glad it goes away when all the blood and estrogen goes away too. haha
