so beat

Lately I find myself ALWAYS incredibly tired... Not just the normal, "I could really use a nap" tired, but the every five second thought "where's my bed? I can't keep my eyes open" tired. It's really rough. I can't find anything to quench my tiredness. It's burning me out. Day in and day out all I think about is how tired I am. When I went to the Er the other day and they did all the tests they said everything was normal. I just don't know what else it could be. I was not like this at all with my first pg. :/

I agree! I am so much more tired right now then I was at the beginning of the pregnancy. I was this way during second trimester of my other pregnancies too though. I barely make it through the day right now.

I am the same way too! I'm only working half a day right now and by 2pm I just want to sleep. I kept reading about this "burst of energy" I'd be getting in the second tri. It could be the blazing heat that's making me more worn out though.

Yes, I wanna know where this amazing burst of energy is because I definitely need it! Fatigue, actually I would call is exhaustion, has been my main pregnancy symptom. And it's still here!! I could literally sleep 18 hours a day. I just need to be up long enough to eat, use the bathroom, and take a nice relaxing bath so I can sleep...lol. I am so done with being tired all of the time. I wanna be "normal" again.

I have been that way too. I usually have a soda in the afternoon just to get me through my long commute home.

I'm way more tired this time around too. I chock it up to chasing around an almost 3-year old all day too...

Same here, I feel a little less tired physically (my whole body doesn't hurt anymore every second of the day) but mentally I am a zombie. I am having a real tough time with work and commuting because of it. My life outside of work is and remains zero because of that... sigh. So ready for the magic energy burst to come along.

Iron-rich foods and loads of water help a bit, but yeah, I sleep about 14 hours a day. (Yay teacher summer!)

When I feel this way I just take a nap, and it really refreshes me. Are you guys eating enough good carbs? Maybe eat a fruit salad?? Smile

Naps are out of the question with DH working nights and me working days. I am a solo mom after work all day everyday.

Naps? What's that? My 1 year old takes a short one, my 4 year old doesn't. I remember my first pregnancy, I napped all the time!

Try working nights and then coming home and having a one year old! fortunately he takes two naps which add to three hours. some how I function on three hours of sleep 14 days a month. if he gives up his naps I may loan him out Biggrin

My daughter quit napping at 18 months. I was like WTF aren't kids supposed to sleep?? Apparently every kid but mine. Even the daycare talks about how during their nap time Brynna lays on the cot but she never goes to sleep. Sometimes they let her get up and play quietly or color while the other kids sleep. Sometimes they make her lay there and "rest her body".
