TMI click if you dare!

Hemorrhoids, no one has mentioned them, am I really the only one with them? I am really hurting from the 5 hours in the car. I am worried that if they are no bueno before I deliver that after I am going to die! All this butt pain and he is not even engaged.

Oh no, I'm sorry you're dealing with that! I have been so lucky...none so far. Do they usually show up during pregnancy or during childbirth? I'm hoping they stay away from me!!

I am afraid I am headed for them as my constipation is getting worse. I've had to up my stool softeners and things are still slow going. I got them horrible after I had Brynna and I hope I don't have a repeat as they SUCK.

I first got them when delivering my first son. Then once you have them, they come and go.

I bought witch hazel when I found out I was pregnant just in case, but I've been pretty lucky so far.

I was going to post something similar... mine suddenly popped up about 2 weeks ago, right around the time that I think baby turned head down and dropped lower and I started getting a lot of pelvic pain and pressure down there. And suddenly, there they were . They are not painful but I can feel them (sorry, TMI). I am terrified now that they will be hurting when I push, and that they will get way worse after baby is here. My mom told me she knows someone who had a to have a C-Section because her hemorrhoids were so bad - seriously??? And to top if off I haven't even been constipated all pregnancy!!! I don't know where these came from. Sigh. I will bring it up with my doc on Thursday and see what she recommends.

they just come from too much pressure there. They are like varicose veins I think.

Let me know what your Dr. says.

Will do for sure. I read that witch hazel helps so I might give it a try. Oh the joys of pregnancy.

Oh I've been riding the preparation H train for a while now. It seems like once a week I end up with a hemorrhoid, sometimes they are worse than others. I use the prepH and then it is usually better the next day. Oh and when I have them I break out Nicholas' baby wipes and use them when I go to the bathroom and it feels wonderful.

I bought some Tuck's pads (witch hazel) for after delivery. I had 2 nasty ones after pushing Nicholas out.

Got my first one(s) this pregnancy, a few months back. Man, its miserable! I bought tucks pads and colace and used both regularly. Now if I even go a day or so without any movement in that area I take the colace. I think I still have some but they aren't painful anymore.

I asked my doc about the hemorrhoids today. She said they are likely caused by the pressure of the baby preventing normal blood circulation. They might get worse after labour but *should* go away on their own afterwards. If they aren't painful they don't do anything about them. I plan to go and buy some witch hazel to put on though, prep H has not been helping any that I can tell.
