Today's RANT, please excuse!

OK, so I just have to get this off my chest!

When we found out I was pregnant, I really wanted another little girl. DH said he could go either way, and I think he really is OK with two girls. BUT, if one more person tells me that they are sorry, or it is a shame, or that is so unlucky that we are having another girl I AM GOING TO SOCK THEM!!!! Do you think a court would send me to jail for that?

Sorry, I am just so pi$$ed right now!

that is frustrating. After dd was born I kept hearing.. "now you have one of each, you are done right?". Now I hear that we are surely done because 3 is too much for anyone. People sometimes forget to turn the filter between their head and their mouth on.

I hate when people assume crap. Everybody did this to me when they found out I was pregnant. They kept insisting I must want a boy since I had a daughter. I did not care either way. Two girls or one of each is just fine with me. And no it's not a shame to have two girls. Just ask my Dad who had 4 girls if he feels any shame!!

Ugh, people drive me insane. When we kept trying to get pregnant my now ex-boss told me.
"Well maybe infertility problems are a sign from god you aren't supposed to be a parent." Really? Maybe that is what you think, but keep it to yourself.

Sorry it's a bit of a soap box topic for me. You have every right to be pissed and I think socking them for it is deserved lol.

Wow, thankfully no one said that to me during the many years we were TTC. I just don't know what I would say. Wow.

I got this too - freakin' idiots! Apparently they don't believe in the same God as me because my bible says that "every good and perfect gift is from God" not every disease and illness - jerk! Yeah - super hot topic for me.

Really? Then why did God give us the technology to help out? People are so dumb....

Wow, ok, this is now a really inappropriate discussion. Please move away from your religious arguments here. You cannot pick and choose whether your god gives you infertility (a natural mechanism for minimizing defects in human populations) or the technologies to treat infertility (incredible advancements designed by humans.)

Girl I use to say that. Or "you have diabetes/cancer/migraines/arthritis/etc, right? Maybe its time for you to just accept that and stop trying to treat it before you give me anymore bad advice"

( I actually quoted a few people, but they didn't all show up in quotes lol)

Ya know, I used to get the opposite kinds of comments. I remember someone telling me that we would never have a baby because I wasn't trying different infertility treatments. Their words were "God helps those who help themselves" so if i wasn't willing to try all of the technology then it would never happen for me.

It just goes to show you that people say things they shouldn't no matter what your circumstance.

That used to drive me so crazy, but I think the thing that made me the most annoyed of anything was when my son was about 2 weeks old and I was holding him while walking to check the mail. My neighbor came out and said "Did you carry that baby yourself or was he adopted?". I was just in total shock. lol, who asks stuff like that?

Agreed! That is annoying!

I texted my (ex)sister-in-law when we found out LO is a boy and she responded, :"Oh no, are you okay with that?"

Um seriously.....what am I supposed to say to that? "yes, we are super bumbed and going to throw him back and try for a girl." sheesh!

She of course has a boy and a girl and thinks she's responsible for this amazing accomplishment!

Yes! People need to learn to think before they speak...

Wow, somebody seriously would have had a fat lip for that comment!! I can't believe some people can be so insensitive!

GIRL #3. lmao..... And I don't care in the slightest! People can shove it!

Ugh I hate to hear how I have my hands full. Lol

And everyone asks if I hope it's a girl. Well I just want to say duh! But I don't say that. I say yes but if it's a boy I know exactly how to raise them.

In my experience it's always the little old ladies who say things without thinking about how it sounds.

Ohh yes, the sweet little old ladies....lmao. This is totally off topic but my husband and I ran into a former neighbor of his while we were still dating. I was in college at the time. The woman was probably in her 70s or so. She asked Bill about me and he told her that I was in school and her reply was "Oh that's good and as soon as she is done you can put an apron on her and stick her in the kitchen." WTF!?! I really had to bite my tongue.

OMG - that's the greatest line ever from an old lady! Totally ROFL over here. Sorry Jessicah Smile

Lol I know exactly how you feel (although you would never hear that from me, as every one of my babies I wanted to be girls lol!). When everyone heard that this was another boy (which makes 3 for me and 4 for DH!), I got the same thing. The sad thing is that I agreed with their sorrys because I wanted another girl so badly. Now I'm actually happy that it's another boy, as I don't think my one little princess would handle having a sister very well! This way, she gets to stay the only girl and be surrounded by brothers!
