Default Too much or too funny?

So this is kind of off the topic of pregnancy, but it does relate to BTDT moms! I noticed a discussion about this book in the general debate board, and I couldn't help but post about it and ask you girls what you think? Below is a link to the book entitled, "Go the f@&% to sleep"... it looks like a children's book but is actually written for adults who have kids by adults who have kids. It's basically a dad who has had enough with the asking for snacks, pacifiers, blankies, cookies, juice, bottles, crying, screaming, shouting, fighting, no sleep, no sex, no "me" time... and finally by the end of the day this is what he has to say to his kid! I thought it was hilarious, especially if you have more than one child, because even though we would never say this to our kids, we ALL have thought it at one time or another! Please check this out and tell me what you guys think!

lol I have read the book and it made me chuckle. I wouldnt say it like that but really other than the language.. I have said that.

I sit on the couch with dh at night to watch whatever we have on the DVR and Allie wakes up screaming or Jamie calls me to his room again and I don't say those words but I do say to dh.. omg, you have got to be freaking kidding me. He has got to go to sleep already. We can never make it through one dang show without pausing it 45 times.

lol. His poemy version is not really different .

I have never read it but it sounds funny. Only concerning thing is the illustration on the front eludes to a childrens book so what if your kid found that and thinking it was a childrens book began to read! The concept is totally hilarious because as a parent to a preschooler I have thought that so many times!!

is a link to the book being read on youtube by Samuel L Jackson.

He says all the words so wear headphones or wait for the kids to go to sleep if you don't want others to hear it! lol

That is so freakin' awesome! My boss told me about this a couple of months ago. I have definitely thought this on long nights before...

Yup, I have thought it but in cleaner words! And would never be mean to my kid, but they know when I am done. Unfortunately they do not care you are done until they are about 3 or 4.

Omg that is so funny. DH and I just sat here and listened to it and laughed so hard! Samuel L. Jackson is the perfect person to read that story.

The guy who wrote it was on the Today Show and he said they were coming up with a clean version to be out in time for the holidays. I really liked it and I don't have kids, I wouldn't let them read it lol but I remember trying to get my niece to sleep and feeling like I was going nuts lol.
