On a completely unrelated note...if you go to your mobile uploads on FB and scroll between pics 4 and 5 - your new hair and 3D of Trystan - you can totally see that he looks just like you!

I had mine! I have no photos though because I stupidly forgot my camera  Hopefully some people wil send me some photos soon though!

It was fun Smile we played the string game where everyone ahd to guess how big I am, and one person got it EXACTLY right  lol! As for others...yikes, if that's how big they think I am, I need to go into hiding for these last few weeks, haha! We also did a word scramble and trivia, and a couple other little games!

It was a potluck so there was tons and tons of yummy food, but I was so busy with opening presents that I didn't get to eat enough, haha...I wish I had eaten more! Everyone was very generous. We got lots of clothes, ALL PINK except for one purple dress and one green sleeper, haha...I am tired of pink so I'm glad we have kept her nursery and all the major stuff mostly neutral, and I haven't bought a ton of pink clothes myself. Some of the clothes are really not our taste at all, but I am going to dress her in them for at least one photo! We got a couple books, a few toys, a play mat, a beautiful handmade quilt, several blankets, a ton of bibs, and about a billion washcloths and a couple towels. More than we could ever use, to be honest!! Most useful was probably the Angelcare movement & sound monitor and a really cute baby bathtub Smile We also got some things that we really don't need, like a travel change pad (I already have two), another baby book, a few other little things...but those had gift receipts, so I was able to return them (along with some of the wash cloths/towels/bibs). That came in handy because only a couple items were purchased off our registry so it was nice to have the store credit as I had quite a bit of shopping still to do the following day.

Overall it was really fun and Elaina and I feel very loved! Smile

Hilary - that sounds like a great shower. And with all those extra wash clothes you can clean your house really good. Smile I use all the really thin ones for wiping up spills and cleaning and the nice thick ones for bath time.

I have my shower this w/end. I don't really want it though. Ugh....

It's going to be small since the majority of my good gfs live hours away.

I'll continue this thread for this past weekend's showers!

Mine was so nice! The cake was beautiful, it looked like a piece of art. I'll come back and upload some pics tonight hopefully once I get them downloaded. The shower was on a smaller side, about 9 people total there but it was so much fun and we had a great time. All of my gifts came from the registry or were something very similar to what I had registered for, even the clothes! I was shocked (pleasantly)! The food was wonderful, the hostesses (mom and SIL) made sure that everything was diabetic friendly except for the cake. Even the punch was diabetic friendly!!!! I was so excited to eat.

We played 2 games, one was the baby clothespin game and the other they had a sheet of paper that said EMILY GRACE LASTNAME and we had to make up words from her name. It was tons of fun playing the games.

DH brought Nicholas back right before the shower ended and everyone loved seeing him too. He was so well behaved when he came and enjoyed some cake with mommy Smile

I had a shower Saturday as well and it was great! My MIL and SIL threw it and they went all out on everything. We had about 37 people show up - about 20 more than I would have expected. Unfortunately, I only got a few pictures since I got wrapped up in the fun. We played 3 games but they weren't very typical to baby showers. One was a 'guess what's in the bag" game. All items were baby related things and you had to squeeze the bag to make your guess. Then the next game everyone had to take the years of mine and DH's birth and guess what the #1 girl name was those two years. Not very hard since my name was at the top of the list for one of them. And the last one was a list of 21 items on a sheet of paper and whoever had the most of those items in their purse won. They were quick and easy and you were still able to socialize while you played. The food was delicious and I ate way too much of it. I think we have packed out the nursery to the point of explosion. I returned a few things yesterday and have a bit of store credit at a few different stores but nothing to spend it on. Yay!

Glad you ladies had wonderful showers!!

Angela ~ That's awesome that all of the goodies were diabetic-friendly! That means people are truly listening & care. That must be a wonderful feeling Biggrin

Jenn ~ I'm so glad your shower went above & beyond your expectations Smile Ya girl!

I pushed mine back & boy, I'm glad I did. I felt SO BAD saturday. I couldn't even imagine having to be at a shower. I napped instead & it was great!! We rescheduled for December 3rd.

Thanks Shelia. I think they will be, except maybe my aunt. She is a biker (idk, don't ask. lol.) & there is a ride up the coast that w/end. I see her a lot though so I'm not really worried about it.

Jenn- I'm glad you enjoyed your second shower! It sounds like fun. The games aren't bad at all.

Lesley- Sorry you had to reschedule, but it is for the best since you felt so horrible.

So glad you guys had such wonderful showers!!

Angela, I love the pics, and the cake was just beautiful!

Jenn, I would save all the extra store credits for diapers (if they're at stores that sell diapers)!!!

I had my shower this weekend too. There were probably about 20 people there and I got a lot of nice things...most of it will be put to good use because I hadn't really bought a single thing for this baby! My parents bought me a crib, mattress, and rocking chair. Other than that I got mostly clothes, onesies, blankets, towels and other bath items. I didn't take any pictures, but I know a lot of others did, so I will have to try to get some from my family members.

I was a little bummed because a lot of people RSVP'd and then didn't show up. Not a single one of my co-workers came, except for the girl whose desk is right next to mine and she is also pregnant, so she's kind of my workplace BFF. And we are a pretty close-knit group, so it makes me wonder if they aren't planning a separate shower for work.

That sounds like a nice shower Carrie! And as for the work shower- of course they are planning one! I wouldn't be surprised if it is in two weeks or so- my work usually does them around 36 weeks.

I hope they are! I have a coworker that I literally spend my entire day with and she didn't come to mine either or RSVP. I knew she had a busy weekend and couldn't make it but still...RSVP. And she is always gung ho about planning showers for others and buying elaborate gifts but for me she acts like she hasn't even thought about it at all.
