Am I crazy?

I have this thought in my head that at the end of my maternity leave (I get 12 wks + 2 weeks vacation) I'm going to fly down to TN to see my parents with my 3 month old baby and my 3 year old daughter. Is that crazy? Is it even ok to fly with a 3 month old? I flew with DD when she was 6mo and she was an angel. It's a direct flight... 2hrs long.

I flew with DS at 8 weeks old to visit my dad. I didn't have another sibling to take with me so I can't speak on how that would be, but it really wasn't bad with DS being that young. He mostly slept and I nursed him under a blanket while we took off and landed to keep his ears from popping. People are really nice to you when you are traveling alone with a baby that young. They were for me. Smile

I used to work for an airline and after I had my first child, and we flew right away all over the place. Everything went well. He did great!

I would do it! I have been flying with my kids since DS was 3.5 months old. Your older child will have her own seat and then you'll be able to easily nurse the baby during the flight.

Oohhh - I'm glad for the encouragment. I think I will do this. With my M&D so far away I just don't get to see them enough.

You will be fine. I flew with my oldest 2 when J was only a few months old...the biggest trick is keeping the older one with you, so I would recommend a plan for that. Otherwise, it will be just fine!
