Another thing to worry about.....

well went to the kidney dr last week and he decided I need to have some fun blood tests run. I was sent to him as a precaution to helping with pre eclampcia. He noticed that my feet were blue and asked alot of questions. He determined that I had ramound's phenomenon. It's like your feet and hands turn blue for no reason. I also have cold feet all the time. I can't feet how hot the water is when testing water on my hands or feet. It's been like this for 10 years, but always thought it was from the fibromyliga..

Anyways all the tests he sent me for came up negative except my ana is positive again. I was positive with #1, but do remember being so for the rest or they just didn't check it. So that means it's a clotting issue and the cord blood could clot. Have to take baby aspirin until 36 weeks. 2/3 kids had the 5th's in the last 2 weeks. I got tested for that and it came out negative. I don't go to the ob again until monday. So it's a nice waiting game to see what I'm going to get tested for now. Atleast I tested negative for lupus. That was a big concern of the kidney dr.

I'm sorry about your test results. I hope that they can give you the right treatment to help both you and keep your baby safe. Hope you have or had a good appointment today with your OB.

I'm assuming you mean Raynauds? I have that as well but for me it's more of a nuisance vs. a real problem. I'm always interested in learning about it and keep up to date on any treatments and findings. Something interesing I read is that it can be worse while pregnant - which it sounds like you already know. I've also heard Tai Chi has been proven as an effective treatment. I'm glad you tested neg for lupus. Will you get tested for the other things typcially associated with Raynauds? (like RA?)

Well, the pharmacy is still waiting for the insurance to get the paperwork from the dr.... Damn waiting game. I already know it will be covered cuz I called my insurance and discussed it with them.

To top off my issues, #1 tested positive with her ANA. This just breaks my heart. I know all the crap I went through at that age with JRA. We go see a specialist next friday. She is only 8 yrs old. I was 7 when I got sick with JRA. Nothing has changed in the past 21 years with treatments.... We don't know if she has JRA yet, but she was positive for ana and inflammation/infection count.
