Any mamas cloth diapering your new LO? We're you brave enough to give it a go in the hospital? What kind of dipes are you using/plan to use?
We do CD but we won't be doing it at the hospital. My family that will be helping out with DD while we're in the hospital will just be using sposies with her then, so I'd rather wait to have CD laundry until we get home. Our CDs include: prefolds and covers (mostly Thirsties), gDiapers, Bum Genius, Comfy Rumps and Fuzzi Bunz.
I want to try some sun babies when this LO is a little bigger.
I will be starting when we get back home tomorrow. My stash is all prefolds and covers. I'm looking forward to being able to puttingbhim in just a prefold and a snappi because he has sensitive skin.
Shauna what are your favorite prefolds? I just have some thirsties and also use gCloth (which are great but not the same thing). DD didn't do well with prefolds once she got to be around 3-4 months so we switched her to pockets 99% of the time.. Hoping this little guy can stay in prefolds way longer.
I love cloth diapers! This will be the first time I'm using cloth on a NB. Eeeeee! I bought a stash of prefolds and covers for the NB stage. I think the two kinds of prefolds I got were GMD with orange stitching and some Indian prefolds? Have you used either of those, guys? Shauna, do you use a snappi with prefolds/cover on a NB. I didn't invest in one but maybe I should.
I'm a pocket girl all the way.
I used prefolds on Kostas from 1 year (when we started) until he was done with diapers and I liked them until the end. I never used a snappi with him because I didn't have any but I'm excited to use them with Marek for the breathability of no cover and especially for the easy off fashion because I want to dabble in Elimination Communication.
I have heard such good things about both the indian prefolds and the GMD ones. I have a couple of snappies but never got around to using them on DD because of her weird sensitivity issues.
I will try to remember to post pictures of our NB gDiapers (tinyG's). They are so stinking small and have a snap rise to accommodate the cord stump. I love them!
