Cramps when ovulating??

Just wondering how many of you get cramps when ovulating and how long do they last? Also do you always notice EWCM or have there been times you know you O'd but didn't have any mucus?

This is my first cycle since stopping the mini pill, so if I'm going to have a regular 28 day cycle I should of O'd yesterday or today. I have been having on and off cramps for the past 2 days...I wish I knew what was going on inside there! LOL

Anyone else recently stop the mini pill? If so what were your cycles like after?

Sorry for all the ?'s!

Were your cycles 28 days before the pill? the first few can be unpredictble after stopping BCP.

I've had plenty of cramping midcycle but no O. So I'm not much help there either

I didn't have a period when I was on the mini-pill, I'm also still breastfeeding 2x a day (trying to wean) so that might screw up my cycle's and O'ing...dang it.

Are you temping or using OPKs? I'd highly recomend both, although I've given up on OPK's this month (none left lol). I know it can be hard to temp with a baby, I have insomnia issues so my charts are not always pretty but it still gives me a good pattern overall and the OPK's will tell you when you are about to O so you don't miss it!

I get cramping that feels kind of like gas pains or a fullness. BD'ing can get a little uncomfortable when it really needs to be happening. I never get EWCM, but do get an increase in watery cm. I also highly recommend both temps and opks. WTG on the bf'ing, too. We're still bf'ing at 20 months. Never been on the mini pill so don't have any advice about it.

I get serious pain when I ovulate. This past cycle, the pain was so bad that I threw up. The severe pain only lasts about 10 minutes and then I feel a dull ache up to and past the severe pain for a few hours. I've always had O pain but it seems to have worsened since my second child.
I should add that I think I'm pregnant from that painful eggie so I guess it was worth it! I may consider the pill to avoid ovulation if this little bean sticks. Did you have a 28 day cycle before you went on the pill?

Crystal- I'm not temping...yet! I think it would be hard with my little one since his sleep patterns vary. I did buy a few OPK's and used them all at the beginning of the week, they were a negative! I will probably get more esp. if my cycles are going to be wacky!
Beth- Thanks! WTG for you too with BF'ing! Do plan on weaning soon? I was nursing 3x day but we recently cut out the naptime nursing and now just do it at bedtime and then in the a.m when he first wakes up.

I honestly didn't start with any kind of plan other than I would bf as long as DS and I could. I was hoping to let DS wean himself, but he isn't showing any signs of wanting to give it up. He co-sleeps with us (makes TTC more challenging) and night nurses still. I work full-time, but when I'm home with him in the evenings and on weekends he nurses on demand at home. We don't NIP now because I feel he's old enough to wait until we're in a private place. My in-laws no longer stay in the room when we're nursing (they were always a little uncomfortable with bf'ing anyways). My sister bf her 5 kids, but never this long. At this point, my plan is to nurse up to 24 months since that's the WHO recommendation. Might wean then so we can go back to the RE and I won't have to worry about medications. A margarita would be nice, too. Wink
