    Default Crunch Time

Less than 100 days on my ticker.... it's starting to feel like it's getting down to the wire. It's time to make a list of what needs to be done and penciling in weekends where I'm going to make it happen. How's everyone else feeling? What's left on the "to do" list? Below is mine.... just the major stuff.

    1. Put together Crib
    2. Paint Nursery mural and arrange furniature
    3. Sort NB clothes and wash anything gender neutral (and bibs, burp cloths etc.)
    4. CHRISTMAS SHOP!
    5. Pack hospital bag, make plan for DD for when I go into labor

I am starting to feel that way too!! We do have our crib put together but I still need to do a little organizing of the bedroom and write and purchase my final list of stuff I will need. Also just received 3 huge boxes of clothes that I need to go through and organize by sizes and see if I have anything that will work for a newborn in the winter and wash it.

I did already start Christmas shopping for those people that I know I will have to purchase for but we usually draw names now in the families and that wont happen yet.

It seems I am remembering stuff all the time now, like I will need this or that.

It is getting closer and closer....

I have got a list I am continually adding to on the fridge! If I don't write every little thing I want to do down, I forget instantly. Our big to-do is moving the two older kids into one bedroom. My in-laws are coming the end of this month so we are going to do it then. We've bought bunk beds that'll need to be set up and both bedrooms need touch up painting done so my mother-in-law has offered to do that for me. Then it'll become a matter of disassembling their current beds and deciding to store them or sell them. Once DS is out of the room that'll be the nursery I can set up the baby furniture and then I'll start organizing clothing, blankets, and other miscellaneous baby items.

I haven't even thought about Christmas... I think it'll be a lot of online shopping this year.

Maybe since this is my 2nd I'm feeling like December 12th is a million years away. I haven't bought a single thing for this new baby nor have I even thought about buying anything even though we moved across the country 2 years ago and got rid of everything baby related. My daughter is turning 5 at the end of September so I more concerned with what kind of birthday cake I'm going to bake for her!

I just remember not actually needing as much for my first as I thought I would so this time I'll probably have too little and have to buy as we go.

We've also been in the process of looking for / buying a house since January. Just one offer put out so far and someone else snatched it up with cash. Now there seems to be nothing!

I made a big "to do"/"to buy" list about a week ago. While this pregnancy has been different and I'm on the H17 shots to prevent preterm labor, I know I still have a good chance of needing more strict bed rest toward the end so I want to get as much done as I can by November.

    My big things are:
Buy a new mattress for the cosleeper. We never rotated it with DD so it had an impression in it by the time we moved her to a crib at 7 months.

More NB/0-3 month clothes and look for any more gender neutral stuff

Buy a new monitor. I don't "have" to do this but the video monitor that we have doesn't emit sound well unless it's plugged into a computer monitor. I have a simple monitor that just does sound but I prefer the video.

Wash the infant car seat interior (cloth parts)

Sort NB/size small CDs and see what else we might need & set up changing area in our room (baby will room in with us for a while)

Holiday shopping! I want as much of it done by November as I can (list is ongoing) and just save the kids (nieces and nephews too) for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.

kalivanadis - I hope you find a house that works for you soon! We just got our house last December and it was such a whirlwind. It's such an exciting and stressful experience.

I think I'm in denial a little myself. Is it *really* that close?!?! hahaha I think just last minute I've decided to go find a crib so yeah, that's on the top of the list. How dumb of me to decide now when I've missed all the garage sales that would have had one for cheap. Duh!

My number one on the 'to do' list, this baby's name! We still have no clue what-so-ever.

    Melissa, Christmas..... what's that? LOL
